I have bearing noise on the spin cycle. this is a maytag bravos xl. what would I need to fix this problem?
Answer Hello Terry,
You will need to order part number W10381078 to correct the issue. Be aware this comes with the shaft, bearings, and seal installed from the factory so you will not need to order any specialty tools for the parts installation.
In the wash or spin cycle, it has rattling sound. Sounds like loose change in there, but there is none
Answer Hello Rick,
Since this unit has the washer washplate, it is possible for change to get under it. You should pull the washplate out and check under it for change/debris, etc.
Hi, I have a error code sd and f72 I replaced the hub assembly a little over a month ago and it seem to be working fine and then the it stoped again in the middle of the cycle with sd then I ran diagnostics made it to c6 and gave me code f72...any ideas? Thanks
The F72 error code is a basket Re-engagement failure. You will want to check to see if the basket is floating. If yes, pump out the water. Check the drain pump for restrictions and possible long drain. If the basket does not turn freely then pull the tub and check for what is causing the friction.
What parts do I order to replace noisy tub bearings?
Answer Hello Gary,
The outer tub seal and the spin bearing are not available for this unit without ordering the outer tub assembly W10193886. These are pre-assembled in the outer tub assembly from the factory.
There is a distinct loud noise during the spin cycle, but it's not continuous, kind of rhythmic with the shifting load in the washer. Is there a bearing on the main drive that can be replaced or is there another common issue that may contribute to this noise?
You will want to check the rotor and stator on this unit to make sure that they are not damaged. If they check ok then check to make sure that there is nothing that is caught in the pump which could cause the noise and if that is ok then the bearing can be replaced. The bearing would require a tool to do the repair. The part number for the bearing is W10435302 and the tool is W10447783. The other option is to replace the outer tub W10193886.
The washer is extremely loud during the spin cycle. Which parts do I need for repair? Thanks
Answer Hello Kerry. You will need to order and replace the outer tub W10381077 on the unit. You can not order just the bearings for this model.
