I have a nasty taste in my ice. Looked to see if it has a filter but could not find one. Do they make a filter if not what can I do to get taste out of the ice. When I looked up model # it showed it as a Maytag and mine is an Amanda
Answer Judy, Are you sure there are no Odors in the freezer or fresh food compartments ? Odors can transfer to the ice cubes and you can taste it in the cubes. Your refrigerator does not have a factory water filter sytem. If you're sure the taste is in the quality of the water, then you will need to check and see if you have an "in line" filter system 4392949 or install a filter kit TJ9CIMKIT15 . Thanks
Current ice maker has 1 screw on top, 2 on bottom. Replacment shows reverse. Can I still use it?
Answer Hello Bill! If your original icemaker is eckmf94 the replacement 8560 is the correct add on kit. If you are needing an icemaker only you can use part number 4317943. Thanks!
I have a fridgidaire aire side by side and when I try to get ice it takes a long time any suggestions also I just replaced the blade housing on the ice dispenser.
Answer Rick, A couple of things to check, make sure the cube housing is installed on the auger shaft properly, and the blade is secured to the shaft and housing as well. Make sure the ice cubes are not to large for the opening in the housing, and you have plenty of ice and that the cubes are nor stuck together. A proper model number off the machine, would be a great help. Thanks and Good Luck
