I purchased this icemaker. I do not have the "on/off" bar in my freezer as it has a laser beam. Is there something I need to do to this part to keep it in the "on" position? It appears as if it is in the Off position. It has been in the freezer for 48 hours and is not making any ice. I tried turning the inside nozzle with a screw driver, and it goes into the "on" position and I hear a small change in it, but it will not stay in that position.

Answer Hello Stephani,
The little position place that you are turning should be in the down position. You may want to look at your emitter beam to make sure that it is functioning properly. When looking at the light on the right side where the beam would be, the light should be flashing. If not then push on door switch and on the flapper and see if it is a quick flashes. If there is no flashing then you have a bad emitter board 4389102 and would need to be replaced. If it is flashing with door open and then you push on the flapper then it should glow solid. If not then the emitter board is bad and would need to be replaced.
Is this the right ice maker for me and does it come with all the parts shown?

Answer Hello Neal! Yes, the icemaker W10300023 is the correct replacement used on your refrigerator. It does not include the valve and tubing, this is the icemaker assembly only. Thanks!
