I cannot get the broil function to work on my gemini double oven. Originally, I had nothing working but have since replaced the upper bake ignitor with one that i purchased from you. I accidentally replaced the broil ignitor with the other bake ignitor I purchased from you. The old broil ignitor is now in the lower bake oven. Both ovens now work for bake. I have also replaced the board. 1) Is there actually a difference between the bake and broil ignitors other than the plug? 2) I do not get power at the board, (yellow broil wire, terminal 3) To send power to the ignitor. Is there something else in the start sequence that is keeping the ignitor from firing?
Jay for Model Number MGR6772BDS
Answer Hi Jay. I would use a volt/ohm meter part # TJMA-DM1 to assist. you in your diagnosis. The physical size of the igniter and the mount are the same. the o.e.m. part # is different because the amp draw and properties of the igniters are different one from the next. The amp draw will be slightly different. Make sure you use a volt meter to see if there is any voltage output from the clock yellow broil terminal. If the broil igniter clock relay does not have the output then you need to check for the tightness and correct connection. You can test the # 3 clock connector terminal and see if the voltage output is OK. If not then the clock is part # 5701M576-60. Put the yellow wire on the # 5 clock terminal and see if then when you press bake the if the broil does now light up is a quick way to see if the igniter and the wires are good. Thank You.
I need to know the length of the leads on part #AP4096684. Ignitor for our lower oven on our Maytag Double oven Range.

Answer Hello Robin! Unfortunately, we do not have the measurements available for the broil ignitor 74007966. Searching your appliance model number given, this is the correct broil ignitor. If you are needing the bake ignitor you will use part number 7432P143-60. Hope this information helps you, thanks!
