I replaced the impeller and seals but my dishwasher has trouble draining. when draining it starts to drain the fades out it takes at least three times on the drain cycle to empty.
Answer John, You'll need to remove and check the flapper in the "check valve" 675238 and make sure the drain hose doesn't have a "floating" clog or kink in the hose. When you dismantled the pump, did you get the "check ball" 719929 installed properly, you may want to recheck that area.
How to remove drain impeller from motor shaft. Is there a puller made for this job?
Answer Hello Pen,
The impeller should just pull up and off shaft. There is not a puller for it.
Where is the relay that make the motor reverse, so the drain pump will work, and how do you check it ?
Answer Hello Ricky. The relay is made onto the board 8530929. Test for power on the grey and the red/black at the motor during drain. If none there, replace the control. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html
Where is the drain location when it does not drain after wash is done?
Answer Hello Richard. The motor changes directions to pump the water out of the unit. You will need to check the drain hose and make sure there are no clogs in the drain system. Also, make sure the sump assembly is not clogged. Hope this helps.
What is the most common problem when water will not drain from the dishwasher tub?
Answer Hello. Check the pump and the drain hose, and make sure they are clear of debris or cloggs. If so, see if there is power to the pump, and the pump is running. Hope this helps.
