One of my two burners dosnt work and the other burner stays on even with the switch off position?
The burner that is staying on all the time will require a new infinite switch. For the burner that is not working you will want to test for 240 vac from H1 to H2 on the switch with the switch in the on position and power on. If there is 240 vac then the element or the receptacle for the element is bad. If there is not power then you would need a infinite switch for that element also.
I need to know if you have the infinite switch for the right front 8" burner and how to replace it ?
Answer Hi Rock. You can use the universal infinite switch part # WB21X5243. The kit comes with installation instructions. Thank You.
When putting the burner setting to medium the element gets extremely hot. I have to put the settings to extremely low for the element to cool down.
Answer Hello Joe. Make sure the element and wires in the unit is good and not grounded. If so, and the heat can not be controlled, you will need to replace the switch 3191471. Hope this helps.
Two of the ring elements on my westinghouse cooker only go on at high no matter what level the switch is set. Is it the elements or the switches that are faulty and can I fix or replace them myself? Thanks
Answer Hi Dai. Thank you for your inquiry. Although we can suggest infinite switch part # 3191471 that is used on westinghouse appliances, It would be better if you have found your exact model #. This is usually found by opening your storage drawer and it is on the frame usually on a model and serial tag. If this is a cook top , then it would be on the bottom sides of the frame. Hope this helps. Thanks.
