I need to replace the left front switch (dual size bridge burner) and the center rear switch (dual-size element) but I cannot pin down the part numbers from the parts diagram. Can you identify them. Thanks, Nick

I think I need to replace 2 of the switches on my cooktop. Is there a schematic that shows which part for which burner? Or is the one for dual and one for single?

We have a temperature control problem with the front left/bridge element. There is no way to control the temperature on the element as it always stays n high when "on". I read and everything points to a bad infinite control switch. Will the AP3841140 switch be the correct one? Thanks

Answer Hello Bill, Sounds like you need to check the harness for any shorts and if none are present, replace the infinite switch 9761048.

When I took apart my cooktop I was able to tag all the wires to the part AP3841140 except for one wire that must have slipped off before I could see where it went. This wire is goes to the "power on" light. But I go not know where on the part AP3841140 it should go. Please help.

The left front burner (dual burner) when using it either screams red hot or low to medium low. there is no in between. Is the switch bad or the burner?

Answer John, The infinite switch 9759474 controls the voltage to the burner, thru the L2 circuit of the switch, your on the right track, you most likely have a inoperative infinite switch. Thanks and Good Luck.

I checked the fuse box under my counter top stove and I had 2 burnt glass fuses. I changed both. I turned back on the breaker in the main panel of the house. I just push down on the knob of the counter top stove model GJC3034LB02 and the glass fuse burns instantly. I checked all electrical connections and all seems fine. I tried it again and burnt another fuse. I then took apart the counter top stove and looked at all the burners. They do not have any signs of a short(i.e.: any black or burn marks). I then took apart the section where the knobs are and they all looked fine but the one that has the "accumiser". I see under it a small brown mark which looks like a burn mark. In between the slots, there seems to be burn marks in the form of black soot.Other than changing this knob, is there any other possibily for this sort of problem??? Could it be anything else???

Answer Hi Karl. Did you notice your oven bake / broil working OK also? If so then start by removing all power to the unit and check the cord coming to the terminal bock. Make sure all connections are tight and not shorted. Then you can un hook the wires to the "accumiser" control. There should be a wiring diagram to assist you in behind the control panel. If not there, then behind the storage drawer folded in a bag on the sides. L-1 to H-1 should read open at Off. Same on L-2 to H-2. If your meter does not come open at off, or closed at temperature settings, then replace the control with part # AP3841140]. Thank you.

Ordered a new infinite switch for left front dual burner part #9759474. Got it in, replaced the old with new one. Now when I turn on the burner, I hear a pop and trips a breaker. What is wrong?

Answer Hello Simpson. Based on the information you provided, it sounds like the switch 9759474 is wired wrong. According to the model number, L1 should be a Black wire. L2 should be Red wire. P is a Violet wire. H1B is a Orange/Black wire. H1A is a Orange/White wire. H2 is a Grey/Black wire. Make sure the switch is wired this way. Hope this helps.

Is this the correct switch for the left front burner? This is the burner that has a simmer burner within the larger main burner. The switch must have two ranges.
