My kitchenaid frontloading washer makes a very loud noise and the drum looks like a wobbly tire when spinning as if it has come loose from the back of the machine. It also keeps filling with water when not in use. I have had two different companies to quote on fixing the problem but both of them have not been faced with front loaders before and don't know how to rectify the problem. Does my machine need a new basket and inlet valve? Please help!

Washer is not filling with cold water but only hot, so no cold cycle or mixed cycles. Was told most likely the solenoid or intake valve. Was also told that intake valve and solenoid are same on this model. Have found no solenoid part so is this true?

The tub continues to fill slowly after a load of wash is done. It's as if the inlet valve is not shutting completely. Is there a filter that needs to be cleaned that could be causing this?

I am having difficulty removing the wiring from the intake valve, that is, pulling it out. Am I not pulling hard enough or is there a technique? I just do not want to damage anything. Thanks.

My Kitchenaid washer suddenly will not let water in on cold. It did this once before and we cleaned the filter going into valve and it started back working. This time it will not work. It flows thru fine on the hot or warm position, of course I am only getting hot water on warm. Any ideas?

Just replaced the inlet valve after it would get stuck at 24, 17, and 9 minutes and flashed code FH. The Hot side solenoid seems to be overheating - too hot to touch, and it sounds like there is a constant electrical pull. After replacing the inlet valve, it is doing the exact same thing. Not sure where to go from here. I know I replaced the wires exactly the same as well. Thanks!

I start my whilpool duet front load washer, starts filling with water for about a minute then throws error code F/H. I have checked inlet valve for operation and it does pump water.

Cycle won't start. Show error code F-. The drain/spin cycle will work. I checked hoses for kinks and inlet valve screens are clean. Seems like it could be the water fill valve. What's your thoughts.
