My washer wont stop filling... why?
Tym for Model Number maytag
Answer Hello Tym. If you can stop the water from entering the machine by turning off the timer or unplugging the unit, you will need to look for a bad pressure hose or replace the pressure switch. If the only way to shut off the water is at the shut off for the water hoses, you will need to replace the water valve in the unit.
I am having difficulty removing the wiring from the intake valve, that is, pulling it out. Am I not pulling hard enough or is there a technique? I just do not want to damage anything. Thanks.
Kris for Model Number Whirlpool GHW9400PLO
Answer Hello Chris,
With power off if you take a pair of needle nose pliers and get between the harness and the valve on the terminal and twist needle nose pliers outward, this should allow the harness to release.
Just replaced the inlet valve after it would get stuck at 24, 17, and 9 minutes and flashed code FH. The Hot side solenoid seems to be overheating - too hot to touch, and it sounds like there is a constant electrical pull. After replacing the inlet valve, it is doing the exact same thing. Not sure where to go from here. I know I replaced the wires exactly the same as well. Thanks!
Vapor for Model Number #GWH9200LW Whirlpool Duet HT
Answer Hello Vapor,
The FH error code indicates there is no water to the unit. Things that you want to check are as follows:
Potential Causes
If there is no water in the unit:
—Make sure that both valves at the water source(s) are turned on all
the way.
—Check for plugged or kinked inlet hoses or plugged screens in the
inlet valves.
—Verify inlet valve operation.
If there is water in the unit:
—Verify Drain pump operation.
—Verify that the Pressure Switch Hose is in good condition and
properly connected to Tub and Pressure switch.
Verify there is not a siphon problem.
Verify wire harness connections to; Inlet Valves, Pressure Switch,
Drain Pump, Flow Meter, and Central Control Unit (CCU).
Check all hoses for possible leaks.
Verify pressure switch operation.
Verify flow meter operation.
Verify CCU operation.
I start my whilpool duet front load washer, starts filling with water for about a minute then throws error code F/H. I have checked inlet valve for operation and it does pump water.

Answer Hello Chris,
Check to make sure that the screens on the valve are not clogged. Verify that the drain pump is not clogged and is operational. Check pressure hose to make sure it is not kinked or clogged. Check all connections to the inlet valves, pressure switch drain pump, flow meter and CCU. It could be a bad pressure switch or flow meter. You can test pressure switch between pins 21 to 22 on empty for 0 ohms.
