Hello, I am looking for a replacement inner door glass. The original shattered during cooking, not sure of the reason. Would the 74003645 Whirlpool p/n be a correct repalcement part? Also, how difficult is it to be replaced?
Answer Viktoria, the inner door glass is part number W10109950. To change the glass in an oven door, you will need to determine how to remove the door on the model number you are working on. If you open the door to the first stopping point, some oven doors will lift off the unit in this position. On other models, you will see clips on the back of the hinge toward the opening where the hinge enters the range. If yours is like this, you will open the door all the way open, then pull the clips down until they stop and lock in place. Then close the door to the stopping point and lift the door off the range. If your door does not lift off, and it does not have the clips, then you will open the door all the way open. You will see a hole in the hinge at the bottom of the door. You will insert a pin or nail into that hole and close the door to the stopping point. Then you can lift the door off the unit. Once the door is removed, you will lay it on a soft surface and disassemble the door. Pay attention and make notes if needed for reassembly of the oven door. Once you have replaced the door glass, you will reinstall the oven door back onto the range in reverse order of the way you removed it. Hope this helps, thanks!

Top lip of oven door in center shows yellow or burn marks. Seal appears to be good. Range is 2 years old. What can cause this??
Answer Larry, Some discoloration on the door top trim is normal(especially a white door panel). The waterfall cooling effect for the oven door does allow air to flow between the two glass panels and up to the top of the door. There can be soot and grease in the airflow that will acumulate on the door trim, that will need to be washed off occasionally. It could get heavier with a self clean cycle. As long as the door gasket/seal is proper, everything is OK. Thanks and Good Luck
