Do they make a vent lid that works if the vent is straight down, my house is on stilts, and I need to run the vent straight down.
Answer John, to the best of our knowledge, No, no one makes a 6 inch vent hood in the configuration you require. You may want to try using a 6 inch "roof jack" vent cover. or install a 90 dgr. elbow and install a "wall jack" cover. The idea of the vent hood, is to keep outside air from migrating up the vent, through the blower assembly and into the house, and to keep animals out of the vent system. Based on your post, you're going to need something on the end of that exhaust pipe.
My outside Jenn-Air Vent Cap/hood was chipped by landscapers. Can you tell me which one to buy as a replacement, where I can find it, and average cost?
Answer Nancy, we have two different wall caps available. For a 5" wall cap use part number A405 and for a 6" wall cap use part number A406. You may click on the part numbers to view the cost and parts information on our site. Thanks!
what is the color of part A406
Answer Hello Donna, part number A406 is white and can be painted to accommodate any color. Thanks!
What is the "part diagram" shown with the AP4390031 wall cap?
This can't be correct.
Answer Hello Clem,
There is nothing wrong with the illustration since it is a wall cap A406 for an oven. It shows a standard 6 inch wall cap for the exhausting of cooking heat and fumes.
