I have a Kitchen Aid Blender that was given to me approx 2002, or 2003, the Serial # is WHO703990 or WHO708990. I tried to get a new Coupler, using the mfg.# 9704230 but it states my model # is not compatible. Where can I find the correct model? I only started using the blender three years ago. thanks

Answer Elaine, if your model number is KSB5WH with no digits after the H in the model you will use coupler part number 9703274. Unfortunately, this item has been discontinued with no further replacements or cross references available and our company is unaware of any other available sources. Sorry about that!
Black plastic drive gear stripped most of it teeth. customer told it was discontinued. If correct, can a newer version be used by buying matching parts below this gear/shaft etc?

Answer Hello Fred, unfortunately that isn't something that would work for you. The coupler is actually threading onto the motor shaft, so that would mean the entire motor would need to be replaced. There are differences in the motors, and they would be model specific. Also from a financial standpoint, I don't think you'd find it something worth doing, if it would work.
