Does you Kitchenaid Drive Coupler P/N: AP2930430 work for the Kitchenaid Blender model number KSB5BU?
Answer Hello Mark! If your model number has a 4 at the end, then yes you can use part number 9704230. If it doesn't, then the part is discontinued and we no longer have any left in stock. Thanks!
As the jar for model KSB5WH3 is no longer available, can I replace a coupler from model KSB560 to my KSB5WH3 and make it work with new jar? Thank you, Ken
Answer Hello Ken! Unfortunately, we can not guarantee the parts will fit as the coupler and jar from models KSB560* are not showing to be compatible with KSB5WH3. Sorry about that!
Do you have a drive coupler for this model. also do you have to remove the round metal disc that was remaining after the plastic drive coupler broke in to many pieces? Thankyou for your help.
Answer SAK, The correct part number for the drive coupler is 9704230 it's pretty common to most if not all WP blenders. Yes you will need to remove the metal disc from the motor shaft in order to replace and install the replacement coupler. In your case, you'll probably have to remove the lower base panel, hold the motor armature in position and turn the remainder of the coupler ( metal disc) clockwise to remove. The drive shaft and coupler have "reversed" threads so the coupler tightens as the motor spins.
