My coupler spins both ways. How do I get it off?
Jessica for Model Number KSB560RI1
Answer Hello Jessica, there is a video on our website that explains changing out the coupler W10279256. Hope this helps!
The blender jar no longer fits snug on the blender. Blender is only a year old. The coupler parts look just fine, it's jsut that the jar is very wobbly when you set it on the blender. Any thoughts?

Answer Hi. You need to replace the blender derive coupler part A# W10279256. This newer style Kitchen Aid blender drive coupler has left handed threads. To remove you must turn it clockwise. Thank You.
Both my base coupling and the part that spins with the blade are stripped. Where can I find the blade attachment?

Answer Erin, the blade and base assembly is only available with the jar 9709940 that has been discontinued. For the coupling you will use part number W10279256. Thanks!

Answer Russ, The other method, is a bit "dicey", slip the end of a flat blade screwdriver under the outer lip of the coupling, " With the blender facing you, insert a flat blade screw driver between the black drive coupler and the blender housing: approximately 1/2 inch. Raise up on the screw driver; this will bend the drive coupler up . Turn the coupler approximately 1/4 turn and repeat raising the screw driver higher each time. Continue this until the coupler comes off the motor shaft. This is usually accomplished in 3 or 4 attempts." You have to be careful and try and limit the damage to the housing. Hope this will work for you, otherwise, you'll need to remove the base, hold the motor shaft,so it doesn't turn and remove the coupler from the shaft. Thanks and Good Luck
