I'm pretty sure the latch board on my microwave is broken, but I can't get to it. How do get into the control panel to repair/replace the latch board? Thanks.

Answer Hello Mike,
Unplug the unit and make sure it remains unplugged during the repair. Remove the two screws that are along the top edge of the microwave. These hold the plastic grill on that runs the full length of the unit, end to end. Open the door and grasp the grill and it will normally shift to the left to come out. When you have the grill off, you will notice one screw centered above the control panel. Removing this screw enables you to slide the control straight up and un-hook it from the front of the unit. At this point the door switch bracket is on the left side of the hole. If you are going to dis-connect any wires, use your cell phone to take several pictures from different angles for re-assembly reference.
