I have a Kenmore washer that shows no sign of power when I press the power switch. No lights, no error code, etc. It just appears to be dead. I suspect it is either the control panel or the lid lock switch assembly. The washer has worked fine without issue for five or more years. Do you have any suggestions on how to trouble shoot thus issue? By the way, I have plugged it onto another known to be good outlet to.verify it is not a faulty supply power issue. Thanks! Frank

I have a Kenmore washer. It has a new lid lock switch. It holds the lid there but there is still some play. Does not pull the lid tight. Could you tell me the problem? Thanks

Like one of the other questioners, I too had a recent severe cold weather problem that caused water valve body to break. Replaced water valve body, but now washer won't power on. Does that mean that I too must replace mother board due to possible damage caused by the water? Other sources seem to indicate that the lid latch switch could be my "won't power-on" problem. Please advise.

I have a Maytag washer (top loader) and lid wont lock. Looks like on the latch the small dark grey piece between the screw holes broke. Any way I can just replace that piece and if so what is it called?

I have ordered a new switch lock assembly. Where on the control top does it fit? When I opened the top, it was already disconnected, and there appears to be two possible slots.
