I have to constantly press the start button for the dryer to start. Sometimes I also have to turn the dryer on/off from the electrical panel. Dryer chirps even when off. Also, when dryer is off most of the led lights are dim not completely off. After reading forums I have two parts in mind: the console assembly& the board itself. Please Help I don't want to purchase the wrong part.

Answer Hello Morad. Test the high limit 33002567 and make sure it is closed and the door switch is working properly. If so, and none of the bottons are working, replace the console assembly 22004444. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Hi. My dryer turns itself on. It doesn't start to run, but the on light comes on and it starts beeping. There have been no codes appearing on the LED. If I push the off button, it will turn off and then turn on again itself. It also wants to stay on "sensor dry". I had a similar problem with the washer and it turned out to be the touchpad console since the control board had already been replaced. Wondering now if this is the same thing and do I need the touchpad console for the dryer?

The lights on the control panel of my Maytag Neptune Dryer will come on ONLY when I open the door. When I open the door they light up and the time displays 18 minutes, the start button is flashing, and the "wrinkle Release" button is lit. None of the buttons respond to pushing them. I replaced the circuit board a few years ago when I got an 8.8 code, so I am guessing it is not that. Can you help?

Answer Hi Joe. You did not mention any codes now. Everything seems to be hinging around the door switch part #W10169313. If you have serial # starting with a 10 .... series then the console part # is 33002536. If it starts with a number of 69...... , then the part # is22004444. Let us know if we can help any further. My maytag dryer keeps on beeping and after several times of pushing start button after three minutes it will run. Now the start lights in on but dryer wont start. Any help already replaced control board still beeping after plug in and wont start.

Hi, My Maytag gas dryer, Model MDG5500AWW has been coming on all by itself and beeping. I ran the membrane pad check and all the lights came on, but I also got an initial code of 8.8 when I entered this memberane pad check mode. As I toggled each light off, they all went off except the signal+ light, which when pressed changed the code to 8. and that light did not go off. The signal - button turned that light off. Also, when I did the diagnostic code check, I got a code of 8, even though I had previously gotten this code and cleared it in a prior check. Can you tell me if the the LED console assembly (cover with membrane pad integrated) or the control board is the problem? Thanks, Nick

My Maytag Neptune gas dryer is not working correctly. It has been coming on all by itself and beeping repeatedly. Sometimes it won't come on at all when trying to turn on. I got a 8 for the diagnostic code but after I cleared the code, it did not come back and I only now get 00 for the codes, yet turning on by itself and beeping problems remain. Also, the sensor time does not go above 17 minutes when first turned on. I'm wondering if I need a new control board or LED console assy and what the applicable part numbers are for ordering. Answer Hello Nick. It sounds like the LED console assembly is bad. You can try to remove the ribbon cable and cleaning it to see if that helps. If the problem continues, you will need to replace the console assembly. We will need your serial number to find the correct on for your dryer. Hope this helps.

The unit will not power on. The led for the start/pause key is flashing. Coincidentally, sometimes when I press both signal keys and then the start/pause key the unit comes on. I try to place in service mode by pressing damp dry and time(-) for test but the unit will not go to mode. I ran a membrane Pad check and all leds toggle on and off. Any thoughts?

Answer Hello Rick. Have you tested the start button on the console? Remove the console from the machine. Pin #1 on the J7 connector is makerd by an arrow. You want to test from pin #3 to pin #7 on the J7 connector. When you press the start switch, it should read closed for continuity. You can test these with a multi-meter TJMA-DM1. Thanks.
