I just bought part # 34001260 striker but after installing it the door catch will not let striker set and keep door shut. Looking at latch it looks like the lever should move down then come back up to keep door closed.

From what I understand i might need the part above and the door latch assy. Here is the problem - my door is stuck shut. I unplugged it, but, nothing helps. Please explain how I can get my door open.

I have a broken latch on my washer, I plan on replacing it but also found the door doesnt line up right. The male part of the latch is about 1/2 an inch lower than the female porion. I have looked at the door and dont see anything bent. Any suggestions?
