Kenmore washer fills with water but will not agitate or spin. No noises from motor etc.
You will want to test your lid switch for continuity. With the lid closed there should be continuity and if there is not continuity then replace the switch.
My Whirlpool washer will fill water and agitate to wash clothes, however it will not drain or spin to move to the rinse cycle. I had to take the clothes out of the machine and now my machine is just filled with water until I drain it out. Do I have to change the lid switch?
Answer Lee, Yes, you probably will need a new lid switch 3949247 or at least that's where you want to start. The washer is designed to fill and agitate, with the lid up/open. But, the lid has to be down (lid switch activated) in order for the washer to drain and spin. Check and make sure the lid strike 358684 is still attached to the lid, and the lid switch hasn't gotten dislodged, first
I heard motor turn sound, but not turn agitator. What part is bad?
Answer Hello tae. Check and see if the motor coupling is broke and will need to be replaced on the unit. Also, make sure the dogs in the agitator are good in the unit.
Would this be the switch for my 7 cycle roper washer?
Answer Matthew, the lid switch assembly 3949247 is the correct replacement for your Roper washer model RAX7245JQ0. Thanks!
Washer will not come on. It's like there is no power, but power is ok.
Answer Hello Ken. Test for power to the users interface. If there is power there replace the interface. If none is there, then you will test for power to the CCU. If there is power there, and none at the interface, you will replace the CCU. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html
