My microwave bulb is a 30 watt. Can I use this 40 watt?
Answer Hello Tina,
It is not a good idea to change the wattage of the bulb in a circuit since it can cause problems with the power supply circuit, especially if there is a control board involved.
This over the stove Whirlpool microwave has two 125V/40W lightbulbs. I have replaced them with GE bulbs from Walmart (120V/40W) high intensity bulbs but the lights won't come on? They are the exact same bulbs. Help!
Answer Need Light,
You will want to test the socket to make sure that there is 120 vac getting to them. If there is then try to tighten the bulbs just a little bit more and see if they come on. If there is not then the issue would most likely be with the control board not sending power to the sockets.
I'm looking for replacement 30W bulbs for my Whirlpool microwave range hood model MH6140XFQ0. Thanks.
Answer Debbie, based on the appliance model number given the manufactured replacement bulb is part number 8206443. Thanks!
