I have replaced the thermal fuse, motor, control board, and relay board and the console. The dryer will not start. There is a click when start button is pushed the first time and a odd sound the second time when the display goes to pause. This symptom is unchanged no matter what part has changed. I also replaced the thermistor on the lower dryer side. The upper dryer operates normally. I have been unable to perform the console test on the new console. It does not go into diag mode ....I got it in once but can not get it back. The original console did go into diag mode but the lights did not go out in the expected order. I got a recommendation to change the console. Thank you

I have replaced the motor, relay board and control board. Lower dryer will not start. Upper dry operates normally. This is the original symptom. Diag code is 8 which is a stuck key. Membrane test seems ok. I push all buttons and the lights go out but on an odd order...Membrane is not available any more so I can't try that. Any ideas?

Both the upper and lower cabinet do not respond to changes when pressing the keypads...I also cannot enter diagnostic mode as the lower unit shows 18 minutes and the upper also has a time display. I can run the lower unit, but only in sensor dry mode..not time mode. Is this the membrane unit which is bad?

My dryer drum doesn't turn. Tech played with the display and ran some electronic test. He said the CCU went, but that doesn't seem right. The top dryer worked properly and the bottom one makes noise like something is happening, I think it heats but doesn't turn. Could the tech be right?

Lower dryer will not start. All lights on panel light up and function properly except for the start button. After several attempts dryer started and once we opened door to put clothes back in, it would not start again. Upper unit works fine. Any suggestions? Thanks

Hi there. As a follow-up to my previous question, unfortunately the instructions to take our dryer out of "Showroom Mode" did not solve our problem. We tried this fix several times and it didn't work. The readouts still cycle all the way through first the lower dryer and then the upper dryer cabinet beeping merrily away (and driving us crazy). I didn't notice before, but when the upper dryer cabinet controls are engaged, the hanging bar also moves as if it were removing wrinkles. So, what is your advice to fix this. Should we replace the logic board? Or some other component? Thanks for your help.

We have had our Maytag Neptune Drying Center for several years now and we absolutely love it. All of a sudden, the front Control Panel is malfunctioning. The time and drying option readouts flash, cycling first through the drying options for the lower dryer, then the upper cabinet dryer, and back again. This takes about 30 seconds, then continues through the pattern again, not stopping until we unplug the dryer. By reading through your material, and others', I think we need to replace the Control Panel, part #31001562 (your part #AP4039650). However, I also see references to the "Relay Board" with which I'm not familiar. What is your advice? Thanks!

The dryer seems to have no power. The keypad does not light up.The light inside does not come on when you open the door. The ac outlet is good..no tripped or blown fuses at the circuit box .Maytag model MCE8000AYW. There was a power failure recently where the lights to the house flickered off and on for a couple minutes. Any help would be appreciated.

Washer runs to 1 minute and stops and displays F20 code. This is only on heavy loads does not happen on light loads. On Express Wash with a 4 or 5 towels it will go down to 1 minute then maybe run any were from 10 to 15 more minutes just showing 1 minute to go before it stops and shows F 20 code. Water fill valves works but not sure it lets in water fast enough. How fast should the water come through the soap dispenser? Hot and cold have the same pressure out the water valve. The water supply lines have great pressure and the screens are clean in the water valve. The initial fill of water seems to take for ever to fill cloths are moving for a long time before before water stops, maybe 6-8 minutes.

What is wrong with Neptune dryer. Is it the control board of the relay board? This is a gas dryer. Start up top or bottom and after maybe 20 seconds it stops and say PF code which is power failure. No power failure has occurred from the house electricity. Then I press start again and will not start. Code window does not display anything and all the green lights on the front start flashing. Maybe faint green flickering in the code window. I then unplug the dryer and plug it back in after several minutes and still nothing in the code window and all the green lights flashing. It acts locked up. If I have it unplugged for a week then It will like reset and I can start it and then does the same thing after about 20 seconds. This problem has gotten worst started months ago could run dryer for around 8 minutes before this would happen. This problem started after about 1 1/2 years of use. I would like to first as dryer has very little usage and I liked it a lot.
