Hi there. As a follow-up to my previous question, unfortunately the instructions to take our dryer out of "Showroom Mode" did not solve our problem. We tried this fix several times and it didn't work. The readouts still cycle all the way through first the lower dryer and then the upper dryer cabinet beeping merrily away (and driving us crazy). I didn't notice before, but when the upper dryer cabinet controls are engaged, the hanging bar also moves as if it were removing wrinkles. So, what is your advice to fix this. Should we replace the logic board? Or some other component? Thanks for your help.

We have had our Maytag Neptune Drying Center for several years now and we absolutely love it. All of a sudden, the front Control Panel is malfunctioning. The time and drying option readouts flash, cycling first through the drying options for the lower dryer, then the upper cabinet dryer, and back again. This takes about 30 seconds, then continues through the pattern again, not stopping until we unplug the dryer. By reading through your material, and others', I think we need to replace the Control Panel, part #31001562 (your part #AP4039650). However, I also see references to the "Relay Board" with which I'm not familiar. What is your advice? Thanks!

Washer runs to 1 minute and stops and displays F20 code. This is only on heavy loads does not happen on light loads. On Express Wash with a 4 or 5 towels it will go down to 1 minute then maybe run any were from 10 to 15 more minutes just showing 1 minute to go before it stops and shows F 20 code. Water fill valves works but not sure it lets in water fast enough. How fast should the water come through the soap dispenser? Hot and cold have the same pressure out the water valve. The water supply lines have great pressure and the screens are clean in the water valve. The initial fill of water seems to take for ever to fill cloths are moving for a long time before before water stops, maybe 6-8 minutes.

What is wrong with Neptune dryer. Is it the control board of the relay board? This is a gas dryer. Start up top or bottom and after maybe 20 seconds it stops and say PF code which is power failure. No power failure has occurred from the house electricity. Then I press start again and will not start. Code window does not display anything and all the green lights on the front start flashing. Maybe faint green flickering in the code window. I then unplug the dryer and plug it back in after several minutes and still nothing in the code window and all the green lights flashing. It acts locked up. If I have it unplugged for a week then It will like reset and I can start it and then does the same thing after about 20 seconds. This problem has gotten worst started months ago could run dryer for around 8 minutes before this would happen. This problem started after about 1 1/2 years of use. I would like to first as dryer has very little usage and I liked it a lot.

I am unable to change temperatures on the lower dryer, it is stuck on medium. Also the control panel light never turns off unless I press the off button. Do I need to replace the control panel or logic panel?

Does the logic board or the control panel need to be replaced>> The lower dryer will not initially start with the push of the start button unless I press other buttons first and it will eventually start by pushing the start button. Thank you

Maytag Neptune Dryer Drying Cabinet MCE8000AYQ. We have owned this dryer for several years and have been please with its performance. Until approximately a year ago. The front console began to wear out. The on/off button for the lower cabinet was not working and one could see that the button itself was beginning to break down. This was the most used button on the system. We replaced the front console and the system was backup and working. ? Last May 2013 the lower dryer would heat but the drum would not turn. We had someone come out and diagnose the problem. A fuse was replaced. The lower drum was removed to get to the fuse which was on the inside back of the cabinet. Everything was fine until about a month ago. We started noticing that the dryer was not operating correctly. Below is an example of what the system is now doing: Set the lower dryer with the setting “sensor dry”. After about 30 seconds the system was stopped and some clothing was removed. (They were only to be “fluffed” and then dried on a hanger.) The system was then restarted with “sensor dry”. After 2 minutes the system stopped and showed “Dry”. The clothing was not dry. The system was restarted with “Very Dry” and “Sensor” settings. The lights moved from Wet to Damp fairly fast. Within just a few minutes the display moved to “Dry”. There were 16 minutes left on the display. The system then stopped as if it was dry but the clothes were not fully dry. Restarted the system on “Timed Dry” and set the time to 45 minutes. The system stopped 17 minutes later displaying “Pause”. The clothes were mostly dry. Next Load, same day: Set the system to “Sensor – Dry”, “Temp – Low”, and “Very Dry”. The time displayed 1 hour 04 minutes. 30 minutes later the system was checked. It was totally off. When it stopped is unknown. The clothes were not dry. Restarted the system with “Timed Dry” and “45 minutes”. We then decided to watch the system. While the system was running, the lights for the upper cabinet came on with time of “3:30”, “Low Temp”, and “Wrinkle Hang Dry” lights lit. The upper cabinet doors were closed and when they were opened, one could tell that the heat had been on. Simultaneously the lower dryer changed itself to “Air Fluff” and “45 Minutes”. Turned off the upper cabinet lights and left the upper cabinet doors open. Changed the lower dryer to “Time Dry”, “45 minutes”, and “Low Heat”. After about a minute the upper cabinet lights came on again. Turned the upper cabinet off again. Checked the system 30 minutes later and the lower dryer had moved to “Air Fluff” and the “Wet” light was on. Also, the upper cabinet lights were again on with the same settings as before. The clothes were dry. I located a service manual for this model on the web. It had the instructions as to how to reset the system back to the factory settings. This was accomplished, however, it appears not to have fixed the problem. Ideas?
