When the machine is pumping out the water it pours out of the bottom of the door. I have just replaced the lower door seal but was unable to locate the tabs to remove the door to replace the the spacers. I did clean out the spacers. help!
Answer Tom, there are a couple of other things to check first. What can happen, is the screws that hold the top of the 8194582 pump cover on come loose over time. The water pressure blows the gasket out of place. The water then shots out the side of the pump and towards the bottom of the door. You also want to check the door vent assembly 9742770 if the wax motor has failed or the internal flapper has stuck closed, the tub can pressurize and force the water out the bottom of the tub/door.
Part number 4172127 It won't stay on the machine and keeps coming off. I pushed it all the way
So I don't know what is happening It stays on, and then I run the wash it comes off. Is something else that I needs to be doing to make the part stay on.
It appears that the seal slide into a groove that is in the door. You will want to make sure that it is fully seated and if it is then it may be that the door panel where the seal goes in may be warped and will not allow the seal to seat properly.
kitchenaid dishwascher, #kud 5255h wh1 fix leak at the lwr part of the door . recieved lwr part seal # wpl 4172127 I replaced the rubber seal sliding it on the lwr panel but how do you install the 2 tub spacers on the sides.
thank you wt
Answer Walter, To install the corner spacers on the tub, You will need to remove the door springs and lift the door up off the hinges, remove the old spacers and install the new ones. We'll send you some information that may be more helpful. Thanks
The bottom door seal ...appears it could slide on either of 2 ways...which way is correct....via the very small curl under the sides or the larger opening under the wide side leg.?
Answer Larry, the easiest way to install the bottom door seal, is to remove the lower access panel and kick plate. The seal kit should come with the seal, corner seals and an instruction sheet to reference to. You'll do fine. Thanks and Good Luck.
I purchased a 4172127 lower door seal. The channel on the seal seems to be too large to mount onto the door. Do I need glue to hold it on or am I doing something wrong.
Answer There should be no need to use glue. It should slide onto the door. Review the instruction sheet and see if you are mounting it properly and in the correct place.
