How can I open apart the transmission?
Answer Hello M. To install the lower seal 207843 you do not open the transmission, you install it in the bottom of the shaft. Hope this helps.
Hi, one more question...how do I replace transmission oil that has leaked out of the lower oil seal?
If as little as 1/2 cup is all that has leaked, do I need to replace oil?
Answer Hello Ed. That shouldn't be enough oil to worry about. To replace it, you will lay the washer on it's back and remove the screws around the seal plate and remove the plate. Then fill the oil. Reinstall in reverse order. Hope this helps.
Is there a way that Grease can get into the washer tub and on to clothes?
Answer Hello Cool Hand. Yes, if the transmission 35-6615 is bad, it can release grease out of the top seal and onto the clothes. Hope this helps.
Is the lower transmission seal hard to change?
Answer Hi George. No it doesnt have to be all to bad. You will need to get a roll of paper towels and clean all the oil while you are there. You will have to use the main pulley to help insert the new seal correctly. There should be directions along with the seal. The seal is part # 207843. Thank you.
