Ok so my wash machine leaked all over. I had replaced the pump out pump two years ago. Figuring it was the same I got to work. However before I ordered any parts I observed what appears to be grease and oil all over the bottom of the machine what do you suggest.

I noticed oil under our washing machine. Could this be the trans lower seal or possibly the silicone adhesive deteriorating between the trans cover and trans? I have not opened up the machine yet. Is their any special tools needed to complete any of these jobs?
