I removed the entire agitator assembly. It appears that the thrust washer tabs are worn, and the agitator dogs broke. Every thing else looks good and cleaned up well. Except that I could use the washer. Is there anything I might be not seeing? Are the parts I see the right ones for my model? I don't see my model # (for a 1997 Whirlpool) on the list. Thanks!

Now I am asking how I can check the belt to see if it the belt? When I put the agitator back on it spins freely. Could this be the belt?

The clothes mover isn't working right. Should I just replace the "dogs" or replace the dogs and the clothes mover? The teeth on the clothes mover don't look real good (but I don't know what they are supposed to look like). Also, I saw in a couple of posts something about applying grease to the teeth.

I have a whirlpool Gold ultimate Care II. It's about 4 years old. Today it filled with water but then nothing. The agitator spins freely. It makes a constant humming noise when I try to turn on the washer. The agitator isn't working. First, how do I drain the water out? Second, how do I determine what parts I need? Agitator repair kit? Motor? Timer?
