Answer T.Gale, There are several reasons and scenarios. If the washer isn't draining or spinning, you'll need to check the lid switch 3949247 and timer 3950705 . If the washer motor runs, and drains the tub, then you'll need to check between the tubs for an article stuck between them, A slipping clutch 285785 and or damaged coupler 285753A.

Answer Brenda, If you have a "MAV" model, you will need to check and replace the agitator screw W10309247 which is located in the center of the agitator, under the cenetr cap or rinse aid dispenser 22004042 . If you have a "LAT" model, the agitator is secured to the agitator shaft by a 1/4 inch hex head screw located near the bottom or the agitator "barrel' and cannot "unscrew" itself 207228. Either way, you will need to check and make sure you're not overloading the washer, and or the water level(s) are correct. Thanks

Answer Hello Brenda. This model does not use a belt. You can check and see if the motor coupling 285753A is broke and is causing the issue you are having with the unit. Lean the washer back and check between the motor and the transmission to check the coupling.

Answer Hello Lloyd. Usually, you just need to replace the cam kit 285811 and not the whole agitator. You shouldn't need any grease.

Answer Hello Brenda. Based on the information you provided, if the unit hums, but does not run, it is a bad timer and the timer will need to be replaced. Make sure nothing is stuck inside the pump and that the tub is not stuck.

Answer Mark, It's most likely a deposit of fabric softner, detergent, and "dirt" from the clothes. If you do a lot of cold water or warm water wash cycles, there is a tendency for this type of dposit to build up. It can usually be solved by running a regular wash cycle set for hot wash/cold rinse, and use approximately 4 to 6 ounces of powderred automatic dishwasher detergent. If this doesn't solve the issue, you'll actually need to replace the transmission assembly WH38X10002.
