My wife was washing a load of clothes and the washing machine would not spin or drain. She tried to put it on spin cycle to drain out the water and it would not drain it only made a whirling sound. The next day I went to look at it, turned it on and the water drained and it spun like it should. I went to do a test load and it worked but you could smell a burning smell but drained just fine. Any ideas on what the problem is. Thanks in advance.

Washer fills and agitates normally, but continues to agitate to the end of cycle. It does not drain or spin after the wash or rinse cycles. However if I manually set the knob to the spin cycle (after the wash or rinse cycle) the water will drain and spin properly. Any ideas?

Our washer at the Fire Station has been acting up. Somebody put in a load of laundry that was probably too large. It started washing fine. About halfway through the wash cycle it started a loud buzzing and then quit. We unplugged it and took all of the wet clothes out. We let it sit for several minutes before plugging it back in. Still nothing. After several more minutes and a couple of spins of the timer, it started. It drained the water and spun fine. We split the load into two smaller loads and it's working just fine. What would have caused this?

I finished replacing the motor and belt. All 3 pulleys move fine in one direction. However the pulley that is not the motor or transmission only rotates in one direction. After installing the above the water fills in the tub but when the machine clicks on it just stalls. And there Is a faint burning smell. Suggestions?

I just finished on load of laundry and tried to load another one. The washer won't start at all. Will this be the motor or something to check.

My wash load was on the final rinse cycle and had almost finished draining when the washer started to run very slow, then stop, then run slow. I opened the lid and it and turned timer around to where it had been and it did the same thing for a few seconds and then slowly moved into a normal speed and continued to spin and finish up. Is this sound like a dying motor? Thanks a lot
