Joe for Model Number kenmore h2 washer
Answer Hello Joe,
With you having a flood and the control board being on the base of unit it would be necessary to replace MCU 8541034. Before doing this check all your connections to make sure that they are fully seated.
Hi there- - I am pretty certain that I need a new control panel for my washer. I understand that this is a common problem with these models. Mine is 10 years old, and currently the 'start' button does not respond when the washer is programmed to wash. All of the other buttons work, but when I go to start a load, there is no response. Is this something that a novice can replace?, and if so are there installation instructions available? Thanks much.

Answer JB, You want to start at the control panel/keypad assembly 8563809, Thats the most likely issue, based on your post description. Yes, if you have some basic skills, you should be able to repair/replace any component in that washer. We're sending you some basic information, that should help you out. Good Luck and Thanks
I keep getting the Cl and CA codes. It seems to be washing fine and then throws the code. I had a full load and removed clothes till there were 3 under armour shirts in it. It was in the rinse cycle and threw the Cl code again. Is this going to be a problem with the motor control board?

Answer Jerry, Both error codes indicate an issue with the motor circuit. A couple of things you should check first. Mkae sure the washer is not overloaded. Check the voltage at the washer power cord, or outlet, when the tub is full of water and the motor starts the spin cycle, you must has a minimum voltage of 108 VAC when the motor starts. Check and make sure there is not a small article stuck between the tubs. If that checks OK, you'll need to check the wash motor windings for proper resistance. Using the color codes shown, and the resistance chart . Check for proper winding resistances. : Drive Motor : RD to BK = 2 - 4 ohms, YL to WH = 2 - 4 ohms, RD to YL = 5 - 7 ohms. If the previous checks are proper or within range(+/- 10%) then replace the motor control board. Here's some meter usage information, if you need it : [http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html]. Good Luck and Thanks
My washer gets stuck in the rinse cycle and will not drain .The timer will not change time and is stuck on 7 min for extended spin and 24 min. on normal cycle. I replaced the pump and it worked for about 2 weeks but, kept having the LD messsage and then kept getting an OB message and I removed the baffle in the drain hose it worked on extended spin one time and now is stuck again. When the water is drained from the washer it will work one time.

Answer Hi Lee. The Ld code...Long Drain.“Ld” flashes if it takes longer than 5 minutes to pump out water to a point where the operating pressure switch resets. ¦ Press Stop/Cancel to clear the display. “Ld” flashes if it takes longer than 5 minutes to pump out water to a point where the operating pressure switch resets. ¦ Press Stop/Cancel to clear the display. The pump impeller may be spinning loosely on the pump shaft and not getting the drain satisfied. When you start the cycle without clothes, is there suds in the tub (over soaping) creating the pump to work harder and cavitate ? Put in a couple of washed towels and start a fresh cycle without soap. If there is suds, then you need to cancel immediately and drain. Keep filling w/ cold water and then drain until all suds are gone. Make sure there are no restrictions in the tub -to- pump hose (sump hose). Pump part # 285990. The OB code is Off Balance code. If the motor controller detects an unrecoverable off-balance condition, the machine controller will shut down and display an “ob” for off balance. The lid switch must be opened at least once before restarting the cycle if this condition occurs. Opening the lid will allow the customer to view and redistribute the load. ¦ Press Stop/Cancel to clear the display. Remove the inner basket and make sure there are no clothes stuck in between. Make sure there are no quarters or debris stuck in the outer tub sump hose cap that directs the drain water to the pump. Level the unit both ways and lock the feet lock nuts up against the base. Thank You.
I am getting "SR" error code not sure what board I need to replace. It starts can hear the water start then stop then start again then the error code comes on. I also tried to get it to go on spin cycle so there is no water left in it but nothing happens for a while then the sr error code comes again.
Vicki for Model Number GVW9959KQ2
Answer Hello Vicki. Sr Stuck Relay Sr signifies a failure of the relay in the closed position. With this failure, power to the motor controller cannot be turned off by the machine controller. The machine control board may have a bad relay and may need to be replaced. Check pins 1 and 5 of P16 of the machine controller and pins 1 and 2 of P1 of the motor controller. This should have AC line voltage when the motor controller is powered. If not, replace the main board 8571359. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Hope this helps. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html
