I am getting error code F11 indicating that the MUC board needs to be replaced. Is that correct? Could it be anything else? If so, is this the correct part number is 8182706.
Answer Hello Ross. Communication between the Central Control Unit (CCU)
and the Motor Control Unit (MCU) cannot be sent
correctly. Possible Causes / Procedure
1. Unplug washer or disconnect power.
2. Check wire harness connections to the MCU, the
motor, and Central Control Unit (CCU).
3. Check the drive system for any worn or failed
4. Plug in washer or reconnect power.
5. Verify CCU operation by running a Diagnostic test or
6. Check the MCU by looking for operations of the drive
7. Check the drive motor for powered rotations.
8. Check that the serial harness at the MCU is not
mounted upside down. The wires should be to the left
when facing the MCU connectors.
What can cause the electrical board 8182706 burned?
A electrical circuit board can be burnt by a power surge or possibly a bad wire harness connection, a bad motor for this board or possibly just went bad.
Is there any way of checking the MCU with a ohm meter to determine if it is good or not for Kenmore 11045872400? I've read other posts that reply to check for motor function? Could you be more specific, like if the motor is turning or not?
Answer Hello Brian777,
You cannot check the MCU with an ohm meter. You can ohm out the wiring harness and run the diagnostic check, which is what we recommend to do. The tech sheet should be located in the base of the unit. This will walk you through the procedure. If the unit gives a fault code for a communications error, unplug and tighten up the connections to the boards one at a time.
Washer will start washing and beep and the f 06 will come up and washer not working.
Answer Hello Michael. The control is unable to properly detect motor speed and the machine
will shut down. If a failure occurs during high-speed spin, the door will
be unlocked after three minutes. 1. Verify the shipping system including shipping bolts, spacers
and cables are removed.
2. Unplug washer or disconnect power.
3. Check wire harness connections between the drive motor and
the Motor Control Unit (MCU), and between the MCU and the
Central Control Unit (CCU).
4. Plug in washer or reconnect power.
5. Check the MCU by looking for operations of the drive motor.
6. Check the drive motor for powered rotations.
Washer doesnt spin at all checked motorW/meter and reads ok. Is it the mcu?
Answer Hello Craig. No power to the motor, and there is power to the MCU, replace the MCU in the unit.
I have a Whirlpool washer which gives me F06 error code can you please tell me what could be wrong and if I need to replace a part.
Answer Hello Mosy,
I am going to take a leap of faith and GUESS that you washer model number is YWFW9151YW since you provided the model number for a dryer. If this is correct, the F-06 fault code is a Drive motor tachometer error. The control is unable to properly detect motor speed and the machine will shut down. If a failure occurs during high-speed spin the door will be unlocked after 3 minutes. Potential Causes:
• Check wire harness connections between the Drive Motor/Tachometer and the Motor ControlUnit (MCU), and between the MCU and the Central Control Unit (CCU)
• Check the Drive Motor
• Check the MCU
• Check the Wire Harness
Replace failed component.
I have a Maytag Maxima Washer and I received the error codes F01 E02 which states I need to replace my Motor Control Board. The Serial Number to my Mayytag is C14850155. I am not sure of the part number I will need to order, would appreciate any help you can provide.
Answer Hello Lori,
You will need to order W10374126 for your unit. The fault code indicates the Motor Control Unit (MCU) has an internal malfunction, repeating under or over voltage, or over current conditions. Can also be caused by momentary loss of neutral feed to MCU during the spin cycle. If the error occurs during a high-speed spin, the door will remain locked for 3 minutes.
Washer flashing codes F 01 E 02 and F 06 E 02. Washer is 14 months old. Have tried to unplug to reset unit. but it didn't help. Are there any recalls since unit is so new? If not, what are my options? Thanks.
Answer Larry, There are no "recalls" for your washer at this time. Based on the error codes you supplied (F1 E2 )would indicate a voltage error on the MCU (motor control unit) and F6 E2 indicates a communication error between the CCU(central control unit) and the U/I(user interface). Your first check should be at the wall outlet, Make sure the outlet is a 120 VAC, grounded and polarized outlet. Disconnect the power cord from the outlet, remove the washer top panel and check for any loose connections or wires between the two control boards. When you remove the top panel, you should be able to retrieve the tech data information sheets, and can conduct all the tests and diagnostic programs. If you should need more assistance, please include an e mail address, so we can attach any needed parts or technical information you may need.
