I have a Whirlpool Duet GHW9400PL4 washer that is flashing an F11 code. I tried the diagnostic test but the unit only gets to C02 before stopping and flashing F11. I have checked all CCU connections and the only discrepancy is a 8k ohm reading on the dispenser switch (should be zero). Also, when I check the pressure switch which should have zero ohms on all test points, I get OL ohms reading. Can either of these two issues cause the F11 code or are these just secondary issues? When I test the MCU the motor windings all read 6 ohms as they should and I get 5VDC on the serial wire, and 120 VAC on the supply line to the MCU. During the diagnostic cycle the motor never runs. Is the MCU failed?

I got an F11 code on our 2005 Kenmore Elite HE4t washer and the door was locked. I did some searching on the net and checked the CCU connection with no luck. I then looked in the lower part to check the MCU connection. I found the entire motor control unit horizontal on the bottom. The adhesive had come loose, the plastic mounts from the bottom are worn down. Somehow it had made its way onto its back under the drum; between the shock and the motor. One edge of the plastic case is worn off with plastic shavings loose around the bottom area. We have been having some balance issues and an occasional "knocking" (not every load). My next repair was going to be to check the bearings and spider arm. Now I am wondering if this was the source of the sound, or if it is a casualty of the drum rocking out of control? I think I'll try replacing the MCU and see how it runs. I am concerned that the wires may have been damaged. Should I be replacing the wires from MCU to the motor? Up until this one F11 code, our only issue has been the occasional balance problems. Can you quote me on the bearings and a new spider bracket if I decide to go that route next? Also, this MCU in the video/still images looks a little different from mine (and I'm not referring to the damage). The circuit board is set up differently. Are we certain it is compatible? Thank you, Lisa B

I am getting F06 and want to perform the resistance checks. It's not clear to me what needs to be disconnected and exactly where the test points 1,2 & 3 are located. Do you have a video for this or more detailed instructions? The wiring connectors all seem to be snapped in place so I suspect it is a failed MCU. I have read that the fuse on that board can be the culprit but it is not replaceable. Is there a check for that?

I've been getting 2 different error codes. One is an F1 E2 and the other is an F6 E2. I get the F1E2 more often. I've cycled the power and checked all of the connections that I can. Do you think it is the CCU or the MCU? If I by one and it doesn't work, can I return it to get the other?

F2 code has been coming up for awhile. Techs come in clean filters. I clean them often. Their not clogged or blocked-drum doesn't spin. I start wash cycle, it doesn't finish but gives f2 code. I change cycle to rinse and drain and speed of spin from high to medium and works once then next wash cycle I do same but have to try slow spin. Husband already placed new drain pump. He s wondering if he should try one of control panel. Which or what do you think is wrong. Thank you for your help R Hawkins
