Replaced frozen dryer motor with new W10410999 motor. (Followed wiring directions, connecting blue wire to terminal 1, black wire to terminal 2, red wire to terminal 5 and two yellow wires that are connected together to terminal 6, removing blue jumper wire and connecting white wire to 1/4" protector tab.) Now dryer starts but only runs if you hold the start button in. Everything worked properly before motor froze. What should I check?

Also a blue jumper which I removed per instructions..Can you tell me the exact wiring for the new motor to my gas Dryer. Thanks, Larry

I have a Maytag LDE7304ACE electric dryer and purchased the W10410999 replacement motor. I connected everything according to the instructions, and the push button will not start the motor. The power light is on. For installation I removed the d. blue jumper; Grey to thermal tab; light blue to term 1; Black to term 2; Red to term 5 and the 2 yellows to 6. I reconnected the green ground wire. I'm stumped.

The dryer started making a loud screeching and squealing noise. After a couple loads the dryer stopped (it would only hum). So I removed the front cover, shroud, belt, drum, cleaned lint and inspected parts. while the rollers are old, they still appear ok. the belt needs to be replaced but was not broken. There was no obstruction to the blower. The motor still turns however as i turn the motor pulley it appears the noise is coming from the motor. Does this mean my bearings are shot and i need a new motor?

I have replaced the motor on my dryer and wired to the diagram supplied with the new motor, when I hit start nothing happens. I have already tried another motor thinking the first one was bad, what have I done wrong? I wired the GREY to the protector tab, BLUE to terminal 1, BLACK and BROWN to terminal 2, RED to 5 and both yellows to 6. I have continuity across the thermal fuse.

I have an old Maytag DE313 dryer. I'm looking for the wires or cables that connect the motor assembly to the heating element. There are like six of them. I cannot find them in your huge inventory, so maybe you can help. Thanks, Michael

I'm Trying to remove and replace the drive motor. The new motor has a different style switch and the instructions indicate one yellow wire, not two together . Are they both terminated at terminal # 6 ? My second Question is about the green wire, does that wire connect to the ground terminal at switch or should I locate it on the motor body?
