Is the motor gear in microwave hard to change? Can I get directions?
Answer Hello Connie. To replace the turntable motor 61005904, you will unplug the unit and lay the unit on it's back. Then remove the 3 screws securing the bottom plate to the oven cavity. Disconnect the wires from the lamp and the turntable motor. You can now access and replace the turntable motor in the unit. Hope this helps.
I have a Maytag over-the-range microwave oven which is presently installed. I think it needs a new turntable motor gear. How do I gain access to the turntable motor? Do I have to remove the entire microwave oven from the wall?
