My washer will not spin. The door locked light comes on. I looked at the control board and found no evidence of fried resistors. Could it just be a bad wax motor?

The soap dispenser door does not open at any time automatically. The spring is okay. I thought it might be the wax motor. Please help. Thanks

Washer won't spin and I'm getting Error Code E43. Therefore, will this Wax Motor fit on my Washer (or do I have to order the entire Door Lock Assembly 131763202).

The locking mechanism on the washer does not engage so I am looking at all the parts. Does the wax motor move to help the lock engage? The shaft will not move at all on the wax motor...replace?

After reading feedback here I replaced the Wax Motor and fixed spin problem. Saved me about $600 and my wife thinks I am a pro. After removing the old Wax Motor I took it apart to see how it works but I am mystified. It has a square rod, a small disk, some odd leads, and is filled with a wax like substance. Could someone explain what a Wax Motor is and how it works?

My washer will not spin water out. It makes a crunching/catching noise as the motor tries to spin. You can see the motor turn but it is jerking like it is locking up. Is the motor bad or something else?

I was replacing the door latch wax motor and the machine control board (R-11 fried). The machine was unplugged. The front panel was still off and I was getting ready to install the machine control board. I accidentally bumped the door and it closed and locked. I went ahead and installed the control board and turned it on to a cycle to try to get the latch to release at the end of the cycle. It will not unlock. Is there something out of alignment keeping the latch and lock engaged? Needless to say I can't get the top open to access the wax motor or get the door unlocked, regardless of power on or off. How can I access the latch or wax motor to get the door unlocked? All cycles work but at end of any cycle the door lock light remains on permanently and the door won't open. Help please.

Hi. My commercial Maytag washer stopped working. I don't know model number, it has display on top front and 6 operation buttons. The display shows reselect cycle and door locked. I open, close the door but nothing going on, the buttons are not responding. Any ideas What did it happen?
