My washer will not spin. The door locked light comes on. I looked at the control board and found no evidence of fried resistors. Could it just be a bad wax motor?
Answer Hello Brad. If the light comes on, the motor is good. You will need to check the balance switches and the spin enable switch. If all are good, then the motor kit will need to be replaced on the unit. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html
The soap dispenser door does not open at any time automatically. The spring is okay. I thought it might be the wax motor. Please help. Thanks
You are on the right track with the wax motor being the issue. You can test the wax motor when the unit is calling for the detergent cup to open. Check to make sure that there is 120 vac getting to the wax motor. If there is then the wax motor is faulty and would need to be replaced and if not then the issue would be the controls/timer.
Washer won't spin and I'm getting Error Code E43. Therefore, will this Wax Motor fit on my Washer (or do I have to order the entire Door Lock Assembly 131763202).
Answer Robin, Sorry but No, the 22002119 wax motor will not work on your washer latch assembly. You will need to repalce the complete door latch assembly 131763202 in order for your washer to operate properly. The E43 code indicates and issue in the control board. and it usually does is due to a faulty door latch assembly.
My door wont latch. What part do I need?
Answer Hello John. You will need to check and see if the R-11 resistor is burnt out on the control board 22002989. If so, replace the control board and the wax motor 22002119. Hope this helps.
Hi. My commercial Maytag washer stopped working. I don't know model number, it has display on top front and 6 operation buttons. The display shows reselect cycle and door locked. I open, close the door but nothing going on, the buttons are not responding. Any ideas What did it happen?
Answer Hi Stephan. You will need to replace the control board part # 22004172. If you have any issues with locking/ unlocking then you will need to then change the door lock switches and spring. Let us know if you have any questions and we can assist.further. It is expected to be available by Dec- 30th. Thank You.
my machine goes through the whole cycle but does not go to the full spin?what part do you think i need
Answer John, A couple of checks to make first, Does the door lock, Does the tub drain completely, and are the option buttons properly pressed and locked down. Does the washer tub actually spin slow, or does it start to spin and then tumbles for a few seconds? if the washer spins but slowly, you need to check for loose wires at the control board and consider a motor control kit 12002039 if it spins then tumbles, you'll need to check for loose wires and a faulty off balance switch (there are three) 22002044 22003302 . Thanks and Good Luck
