Is this mount kit a universal type and are there any other required parts? The model I have is a countertop GE Jes1136
Answer Hello Gary! The cabinet mount 8206174 is not universal. Typically, you are not able to take a countertop unit and mount it to the wall/cabinet. However, some days ago they use to have a mounting kit available. This is considered larger sale item instead of parts. You will have to check with a local hardware/appliance store. Thanks.

I just bought this Whirlpool microwave and there is a small mount in the rear. Then I need to put 2 screws in from the top cabinet. I dont have a cabinet above the microwave. Is there a diffrent mount I can use?
Answer Hello Dar,
I'm sorry but this is the only way to mount an over the range microwave. You can mount a couple of shelf brackets and use the shelf to hang the microwave as long as the brackets are firmly secured to the wall studs to support the units' weight. There are decorative brackets that are attractive that will not only provide you with a satisfactory support for the microwave, but are also a cheaper alternative to a cabinet that will provide you with an open storage space above the unit.
What mounting bracket can I use for this microwave? Thanks.
Answer Helena, the mounting plate listed for your model is part number W10269225. Thanks.
We are putting the microwave in a cabinet over our oven and it needs to sit on a bracket and I also need faceplate to go with it what part do I use?
Answer Kimmie, the 30" trim kit is part number MK2220AW and the 27" trim kit is part number MK2227AW. Unfortunately, we do not stock these kits, sorry.
