My washer agitates and drains fine, when the agitation finishes, it goes into the neutral drain. When it goes in, it lasts about 5 seconds then i hear a loud clunk and it starts spinning. Its full of water when it does this so i know its bad on the motor. What needs to be fixed??

Problem will not spin, unless I open/shut lid. I have to do this twice to complete the wash cycle.

Hi my washer spins intermittently. Ive changed the clutch assembly, coupler and check drive block all ok. I can get it to spin by moving my basket...I thinking something with my transmission think I might get the neutral drain kit

My maytag washer doesn't spin all the time. The agitator works fine and the pump is ok. But every couple of loads the drum doesn't spin. Leaving the clothes too wet.

When we let the washer sit loaded with clothes and water in it it leaks water . Is there a seal to check or replace or is it a hose connection problem?

My washer is having an issue with the spin cycle, I've replaced the clutch and coupler (which both ended up being fine but I replaced them anyway). It will sometimes go into spin no problem, but other times it won't. The agitator works fine, and it pumps water out fine even when it doesn't spin. When it doesn't spin I can shake and bounce the basket a few times and it will eventually kick in, but every time it does kick in I hear a loud klunk sound. Not continuous, just a single klunk. Is the drain kit a possible fix for this?

During the wash cycle, the washer agitates, drains, pauses (which I believe disengages the neutral drain function) then spins with intermittent spray; all normal. During the rinse cycle, the washer agitates, drains, never pauses, & never spins. It does perform the spray function & stops at the end of the cycle. Since spin works during one part of the cycle but not the other, I am led to believe that an internal cam switch in the timer that feeds the motor is not performing the pause that allows the spin function to begin. Do I have a bad timer or something else?
