Hello, My washer won't spin. I removed the transmission and opened the gear box. I found that on the Neutral Drain parts, one of the plastic pieces (I think its called the trigger lever) is supposed to have a small spring on it, mine does not. Would this prevent the washer from spinning? Thanks

I have another question about the washer. It agitates when it goes into the spin cycle. I took the gear case apart and there is nothing that I can see wrong with the gears or shaft. What does the neutral drain switch do inside the gear case? Is this what causes the machine to go from drain to spin to wash etc? Thanks Don

When the washer finishes the wash cycle and starts to spin the agitator continues to agitate and as the tub begins to spin, it makes a very loud banging sound. I can hold the agitator, but it is hard to hold. It will spin if I hold the agitator. What can be the problem? I cleaned up the brake and clutch assembly and they are free of any oil . Thanks for your help. Don

My washer agitates and drains fine, when the agitation finishes, it goes into the neutral drain. When it goes in, it lasts about 5 seconds then i hear a loud clunk and it starts spinning. Its full of water when it does this so i know its bad on the motor. What needs to be fixed??

Problem will not spin, unless I open/shut lid. I have to do this twice to complete the wash cycle.

Hi my washer spins intermittently. Ive changed the clutch assembly, coupler and check drive block all ok. I can get it to spin by moving my basket...I thinking something with my transmission think I might get the neutral drain kit

My maytag washer doesn't spin all the time. The agitator works fine and the pump is ok. But every couple of loads the drum doesn't spin. Leaving the clothes too wet.

When we let the washer sit loaded with clothes and water in it it leaks water . Is there a seal to check or replace or is it a hose connection problem?

My washer is having an issue with the spin cycle, I've replaced the clutch and coupler (which both ended up being fine but I replaced them anyway). It will sometimes go into spin no problem, but other times it won't. The agitator works fine, and it pumps water out fine even when it doesn't spin. When it doesn't spin I can shake and bounce the basket a few times and it will eventually kick in, but every time it does kick in I hear a loud klunk sound. Not continuous, just a single klunk. Is the drain kit a possible fix for this?
