Problem will not spin, unless I open/shut lid. I have to do this twice to complete the wash cycle.
Answer Jim, based on the information provided you'll need to replace the lid switch, part number 3949238. Thanks!
Hi my washer spins intermittently. Ive changed the clutch assembly, coupler and check drive block all ok. I can get it to spin by moving my basket...I thinking something with my transmission think I might get the neutral drain kit
You will want to check the motor capacitor 8572717 to make sure that it is good. The capacitor is a run capacitor and could be weak and when there is a load on it to spin it may not have enough power to allow the unit to start. If the capacitor checks ok then check the brakes to make sure that they are not dragging and if this is ok then the neutral drain would most likely be the issue.
When we let the washer sit loaded with clothes and water in it it leaks water . Is there a seal to check or replace or is it a hose connection problem?
You will want to check to make sure that the pressure hose is not leaking. Also check to make sure that there are no cracks in the outer tub that would cause the leaking and check to make sure that the leak is not coming from the centerpost seal in the middle of the outer tub above the transmission.
i have a whirlpool thintwin model LT7100XVNO it will not wash on the wash cycle or spin out on spin cycle will neutral drain kit part #AP3018165 fix it
Answer Mark, The neutral drain kit 388253 is the least likely issue. It's an internal component of the transmission, and has little to nothing to do with the agitate cycle. If you can hear the motor run, and / or the washer will drain the water from the tub, you most likely have a damaged motor coupling 285753A which drives the transmission input shaft, this would keep the transmission from operating, or a faulty gearcase/transmission 3360629. If the motor doesn't operate, you'll need to check the electrical components: lid switch, timer, motor and wiring, for a defect.
Hello, please explain to me in detail on how to install this kit.
Answer Hi Robert. The neutral drain kit part # 388253 can be seen on our web site by creating a log in and research your model #. Then you can look under the gearcase section to see the pictorial veiw to assist. you. You can use the service manual part # 4313896 to assist. also. Thank You.
