This washer has a very loud rattling sound during the spin cycle. I took it all apart 2 years ago and found the inner tube bearings were bad. I purchased new ones at a bearing supply store and reassembled the unit. Most of the noise went away but it slowly returned and now is worse than ever. I think I should replace the tub this time. Can I just replace the rear tub without replacing the front portion? P.S. I have no water leaks and the bearings do not appear to be damaged from moisture, they just wear out. It seams like a poor design.

We found plastic in our drum at the end of a cycle yesterday and then ran the washer last night and it made terrible noises in the spin cycle. There were larger chunks of plastic this time. Which parts do we need to fix this. I see two outer tub parts in the list. I was told that the back bearing had gone out and that the repair cost would be around $600.00. Thank you, Jeff

My Whirlpool front load washer has progressively over the last year gotten louder and louder on the spin cycle, kind of like a jet engine. Any ideas? It also throws an error code of F25 every now and then.

My Duet washer sounds like a jet engine on the spin cycle. I can move the tub in and out and it also has some movement up and down. Do I need a rear bearing replacement, or do I need to replace the stainless tub/drum assembly? I do not know if the bearing is replaceable, separately from the drum. Thank you! Dave
