The oven has a low flame only 1/2 wide. Normally it would be 4 inches wide. Anyone know what could be wrong?
Answer Hello Tim,
If there sufficient gas pressure to the unit, the issue will most likely be a failing safety valve 3196544.
The broiler won't lite. Igniter glows orange. Is this rite is the bake igniter? The same part as the broiler igniter.
Answer Hello Mike. Test for 3.2-3.6 volts AC at the gas safety valve with the igniter turned on. If the voltage is there, you have a bad safety valve. If the voltage is low, you have a weak igniter and the igniter will need to be replaced. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html
I replaced the ignitor and the oven smokes since then. What can I do to stop it from smoking?
Answer Hello Tirza,
Locate the source of the smoke, (spill), and clean it out of the unit. This will stop it from smoking.
Is there a separate ignitor for bake and broil?
Based on the partial model number that you gave it is showing that the unit has a broil drawer in which there will only be one igniter which is part number 316489402.
My oven does not get hot enough to use. What needs to be replaced?
Answer Hello Sarah,
The ignitor 3186491 is the most probable cause of this failure.
The top burners work but oven bake or broil will not work.
Answer Hello La. Check the control and see if it is bad in the unit. Also, make sure the igniter is good. We will need your model number to help you more with this. Please post your model number with a new question on the parts page. http://www.appliancepartspros.com/modelnumber_locator.aspx
The oven will not come on , whenever we turn it on the # F1E2 shows up.
