Periodically the oven does not light and smell like gas then ignites and attempts to light stove full of gas. It does not leak gas all the time and top burners all work good. The stove is the only part I have issues with. Sometime there is a small explosion in oven.
Larry for Model Number ARG7302WW
Answer Hello Larry. It sounds like the igniter is weak and will need to be replaced. Test for 3.2-3.6 volts AC at the gas safety valve with the igniter turned on. If the voltage is there, you have a bad safety valve. If the voltage is low, you have a weak igniter and the igniter will need to be replaced. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html
Cant find model# jenn-air down draft oven. Gas igniter bad, need model# ? Looks like AP4041425.
Patty
Answer Patty, the model number can be located on the center of the vent trim with the door open, on the oven side of the door jamb with the door open, if it has a bottom drawer it can be on the sides or inside of the drawer. Thanks!
Broiler works fine bake does not. I do see a glowing when bake is turned on but flame bar never ignites.
