Periodically the oven does not light and smell like gas then ignites and attempts to light stove full of gas. It does not leak gas all the time and top burners all work good. The stove is the only part I have issues with. Sometime there is a small explosion in oven.

My Amana oven and broiler does not heat. The burners light just fine. The ignitor for the broiler glows when I turn it on. The oven ignitor does not glow when turn it on to bake. Do I need to change the oven ignitor? How come the broiler doesn't light if it's ignitor still glows?

I had problems getting the oven to heat up. Sometimes when I asked for 375, it got only to 200, then after an hour or so, it would climb up to 375. I looked at the diagrams here, and tried to reach the oven bake ignitor by taking off the shield and going from the top, but have two screws I can't budge, located way in the back. I can see the glow from underneath the metal shield, though, when the oven is set to bake. So I replaced the temperature sensor, but no difference in its failure to bake. The broiler and burners work fine. Can it be that the oven bake ignitor glows but doesn't work well enough to bake? Or is it the whole electronic board that needs replacing?
