My dishwasher has been slowly failing and is currently not working at all. There are 2 lights on the control panel that are always dimly lit i.e. normal and quick, most of the others fully light up but the start doesn't light or work. I have removed and cleaned the connection between the control panel 6-919765 and the main board W10218831 but its still not working. Model Number JDB1100AWS

Hi, For a while we were stuck on quick wash. We couldn't get to any of the other cycles. It was fine, since that was what we mostly used. Now, none of the leds are lighting except for heated dry and sanitize. If I press the start button and close the door it will start the wash cycle, I assume quick cycle. Do I have a control panel or control board problem or both? Serial number is 34. Thank you for your help. Greg

I have Maytag Dishwasher: MDBH985AWS. The control panel is not working properly. The dishwashwer will not start. I have read the manual and still not sure what part is broken and needs replaced. Below is what is happening with each button: Auto Clean - Light will turn on when pushed but will not turn off Heavy Wash - will not turn on Normal Wash - will not turn on Light wash - will not turn on Rinse Only - will not turn on Heated Dry - will turn on and off Sanitize - will turn on and off High temp - will remain on but will not turn off Tough Scrub Plus - will not turn on Start/Cancel - will not turn on Delay - turns on but only "2" or "4" will be displayed What part(s) is needed to fix this?

Hello. We just replaced the door latch assembly - it works great! Now, however, the buttons on the top are not cooperating. If I push any of the was selections nothing happens. If I push start/cancel then the selection of China, Heated Dry, Extra Rinse lights up and it works fine on those selections. But I would like to choose my own options. Since they are both pricey, I was hoping to find out if I needed to replace the touchpad control panel or the control board. As a bit of back story, we had been living with the broken latch for a while, just making sure to press it closed and not open it mid-cycle. The other night I woke up in the middle of the night to find that the dishwasher was STILL RUNNING hours after it should have stopped. I opened the door to hit cancel to shut it down and it wouldn't stop, so I unplugged it. Once we replaced the latch assembly, it now mostly works, except for the situation explained above. - I appreciate any advice!

Dishwasher buttonson the top panel stopped working yesterday, except for one. Using the "heated dry" button to activate child lockout still works and lights up. But no other button does anything and no dishwasher operation. I already replaced a broken door latch assembly about a month ago. Machine was working fine until yesterday. I've read there are 3 possible problems - bad connection, bad panel control, or the control board. I assume since the "heated dry" will work the machine is getting power. My question is which of the other two items is more likely to be bad. I'm a novice at this and do not have any meters to check anything electrial and wouldn't know what to look for anyway. I guess worse case I'd have to buy both and return the one not the problem, or just replace both since the machine is about 7 years old.

Just about to order the replacement touchpad/panel Part Number: AP436507 for my Jenn Air dishwasher. Read one response already that discussed how and where to insert the ribbon into the control board. One step says "Remove pin and ribbon connectors from PC Board. 6" My question is, how do you remove the pin? Does it just pull off? It looks like the inside of a computer circuit and I am afraid to just pull it off, it looks like it would break the circuit board or something. Thanks!

Many of the keypad lights failed awhile ago but if I press Start, then Normal Cycle, it usually works. But sometimes it stops before it opens the detergent dish which makes me think that it's running a short or rinse only cycle. If I then unplug it overnight and try again in the morning, it works (the lights still don't work but it runs the entire cycle) and will continue to work for a few more times. If the plug were more convenient, I would simply unplug it after every use. Pulling the plug for just a few minutes does not work, it must be at least 6-10 hours in my emprical testing. This leads me to think that it is not the keypad but rather the controller. BTW the model list shows JDB1250AWR10 but the plate in my dw just has JDB1250AWR. It does has another number 10736581LJ which I figured is the s/n. Anyway let me know what you think. (Thanks for your help/part on my JennAir stove last year, it works great now!)

Only lights that lit on the panel were Sensor Clean, Super Scrub, Extra Rinse, and Start......Now the Start button doesn't work.....(only cleaning cycle that could be previously used was the "Sensor Clean". Took the panel apart and it appears that the "inoperative" micro switches were stuck in the "pressed position"...Is this a normal malfunction from continuous use?...I know I'm going to need a new panel now regardless.

I have the new control panel part for my jenn air dishwasher. I have it installed, except for I don't know where the clear strip is suppose to go. The lights do not come on when I push any of the buttons, so I don't know if I have it installed right.
