Hi, we have the Amana ADB3500AWW dishwasher. It is stuck in Auto Wash Mode. Start/Cancel seems to be the only button that works. I'm wondering if this is typically a control board problem or a keypad problem? Also, two control boards that look about the same are listed for this model, which is the right one?
Scott for Model Number Amana ADB3500AWW
Answer Hello Scott,
You would want to check to make sure that the key is not stuck. Disconnect power to unit for approximately 30 minutes to allow to reset. Upon reconnecting power if the unit continues to only have auto wash on then you would need to replace the membrane switch 6-919805. As far as the control boards go the reason for the different part numbers is due to series change. If the first 2 digits of the serial number are before 33 then you would use control board part number 12002709 If it has 33 or higher then part number W10218825 is the control board you would need.
Door latch on model mdb6601aww dishwasher broke. handle popped in and wont' pop out. We have ordered a new one. and will install it. Is there a step by step guideline for changing that door latch assembly?...without damaging the door. Thanks.
Linda H. for Model Number MDB6601AWW
Answer Linda, the door latch is part number W10275768. You will need to disconnect the power to the unit. Remove the screws securing the inner door panel. Raise the door panel and gain access to the latch assembly. Unplug the wires from the latch and reinstall with the new latch in reverse order. Thanks!
Panel-Con does it come in stainless? If no, which color compliments stainless door?
Erik for Model Number MDB6601AWW
Answer Hello Erik! The manufacture does not offer the control panel in stainless. For the stainless model the control panel is black in color, part number 6-919822. Thanks.
All Lights come on except the Washer will not start.
Gordon M. for Model Number MDB6701AWQ1
Answer Hello Gordon. Test and make sure the door latch assembly W10130696 is good and the micro-switches are working properly. If so, it sounds like you will need to replace the control panel 6-919823. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Hope this helps. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html
I installed my Panel-Con. The lights don't light and I can't change it from on command i.e. light wash to heavy wash, even though it is now making noise like it's working. When installing I put it in exactly like I took the old one out.
Greg for Model Number MDB6601AWW
Answer Hello Greg. You will need to remove the ribbon cable from the control board and reseat it. Then lock the connector down so it does not come out of the board. Be sure and lift up on the lock, before trying to reseat the ribbon cable. Hope this helps.
