Whirlpool Touch Pad Gas Dryer won't power up,no lights won't go into diagnostics. Performed #1 on supply connections all passed got to step 6, ordered and replaced ECM board from AppliancePartsPros.com, no change, performed test#5 touch- pad and LED meter responded to key's actuated per table on page 11 Service Diagnostic Guide. Any help and guidance would be appreciated. Door switch was bad on first check, stuck in door closed state; switch was removed and input connection points were jumpered to simulate switch continuity. Replacing Electronic Control Board was end point of both tests recommended for this type trouble. Still acts same with new board?

When I push the button to change the temperature setting, it instead changes the end-of-cycle sound level. Also, it seems that the temperature settings are running way too high (seems extremely hot when set on delicate/low temp). I tried changing the control board but that did not solve the problem. Do I need to switch out the Console Panel?

Whirpool sense on dryer everything works fine in diagnostic mode (passes all tests, heats, and drum rotates, etc.) but no lights and no response from touchpad after ending test mode. Got a replacement ECM but it behaves the same.

The Towels/Cottons light is always on and won't turn off. Also, I can't change to any other type of washing cycle. Pressing the Stop/Cancel button has no effect. I have to keep the dryer unplugged to keep the light off. What should I replace?

I have a whirlpool senseon with a strange problem. The led indicator will lose the second the number displayed and will not let me start or cancel (and while the dryer is cycling sometimes). I can change the load type but the dryer will not start or cancel and does not give me a confirmation beep (when pushing the start/cancel buttons). This problem is intermitent. There is also a PF (power failure) code that I may have seen twice when cycling the dryer on/off (unplugging the power cord) to try to get it to start. I am not sure if that is what it said because I could only see the P on the display. I suspect it may be the console panel or control board. But I have a very limited amount of money to spend on this problem and can't afford to buy either to install and check. Or possibly a lose connection to re-solder (the dryer was moved the day before because it was bought second hand). Have you ever heard of anything like this before?

My whirlpool dryer will not start model gew9868kq2. So I changed the thermal fuse no change. There is current coming to the board so I also changed the electronic board still it will not start. What else can I check?

I have a strange question for you that you probably have never got before regarding appliances - specifically in this case clothes dryers. I have a rare medical issue that any time I look at LED lights for even a short time they give me a migraine-like headache that lasts 24 hours. Doctors and opthamologists have not been able to figure this out. So we bought a new $900 LG Gas dryer recently and got it setup to use and then realized that the control panel is backlit by LED lights. I can't use the dryer and will try to return it. My question is this, is there a way to tell when buying a new dryer if it uses a control panel with LEDs? Are there any that are lit with incandescent bulbs anymore that won't give me a headache? I know there are some that are the traditional style with knobs that might work for me. Just wondering if all the electro-mechanical ones are lit with LEDs now. Thanks for your time, Doug

When metering the touchpad per repair manual, none of the switches give any reading. Worked intermittently until recently; now nothing. Should we replace the console? Anything else?
