I was able to remove the screws but cannot seem to remove the old door. Is there a trick that I'm missing? Does it have to be totally out from under the counter to work?
Answer Carol, No the dishwasher doesn't need to be removed from the cabinet. Once you remove the 8 screws from the lower section of the door(4 on each side) Raise the door to the closed position, pull down and out on the lower portion of the door panel and it should swing away from the door frame. Be careful of the sharp edges.
