Bake and oven light do not work, do I need the control panel replaced?
Ed V for Model Number Mew5530ddb
Answer Hello Ed,
You will want to check to see if you are getting power to the light and bake element. If you check for voltage on the control board from connector p15 pin 2 to connector P2 pin 3 you should have 120vac. If you do not then you have a bad control. If you do then check bulb. Also check from connector P4 from bake to L1 pins 1 to 4 for 240 vac. If not correct voltage replace control board if correct then check wiring and element. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html
The door is locked close. Unplug power to try to reset, but it did not work.

The Bake and Oven Light do not work, everything else works. How do you take Control Panel off? And do I need a hole new panel?
Thomas Y for Model Number #MMW5530DAB
Answer Hello Thomas. You will need to remove the screws holding the panel in place to remove the panel. Once removed, disconnect the ribbon cable going to the control board, and remove the screws from the control board. You will need to replace the whole panel. Hope this helps.
