Having trouble removing the motor pulley. it broke off on the end and i am turning the rest of it but it just spins. Any suggestions how to get this thing off?
If you are not grabbing the motor shaft and then turning the pulley then it will not come off and just spin. You will want to grip the motor shaft to hold it still. If the pulley is spinning on the shaft then then you will need to break off the rest of the pulley and check the threading on the motor to see if it is damage. If damaged then the motor would need to be replaced.
Our motor drive pulley for the belt drive broke. Is the one pictured for the 60 hz motor a universal fit?
Answer Cyle, motor pulley part number 31001535 is the original pulley used on your model ADE7000AYW and will fit your appliance. Thanks!
Does your motor pulley use left hand threads ? for install / removal
To remove the motor pulley you would turn to the left. It is left to loosen right to tighten.
Does this part have left-handed threads? My motor does. Motor Pully # AP4038987. If it does, I'll order it.
We do not have specs on whether threading is left or right hand. This pulley does not show as being for your unit and that your unit to replace pulley you would have to replace the motor.
I need a new motor. Will the pulley off my old motor work on the new replacement motor, or do I have to order a new pulley also?
Answer Hello Payton,
The pulley on your old motor will be the same as the new pulley that comes on the new motor. Since it comes with it, you will not need to worry about the pulley. It is pre-installed at the factory.
WILL THIS FIT MY DRYER MOTOR
Answer Hello George, the pulley for your motor is not available separately. The manufacturer only provides the motor/pulley assembly 2200376. Thanks!
