I just bought this unit and it is missing something in back I think it is a cond pump. Do I still need an open drain or is it closed with just the drain hose and vent tube.and where would I connect the electric wire to that is on the new cond pump.
When installing the condensate pump the drain line will connect directly to the pump and then the pump line would go to an exterior source, whether it is to the outside of the home or to a sink drain. The power cord from the unit will plug into the side of the condensate pump.
Can't figure out last step of this process. Drain discharge tube has right angle connection and is smaller than 10 foot drain tube provided in 1901a kit. How do these connect together? Everything worked great up to this point.
Answer Hello Stephen,
The hoses were not intended to be connected together. The hose shown in the picture is actually not the correct hose. I believe the correct one is W10217945. Since there are no pictures of this part number I can only assume this is the correct part number for the clear hose that should come with the drain pump kit.
Is 1901A the replacement pump for my kitchenaide ice maker #kuic15nlts0 ?
Yes the 1901A would be the correct replacement drain pump for your kitchenaid ice machine.
Does this pump have a check valve for a gravity feed. And which side is the check valve on. Whats the max height on the pump. Water keeps backing up out of vent hose. Let me see a diagram if i can. Thank you stephen.
If the water is backing up into the ice bin part of the unit then the most likely issue will be the drain pump. Unfortunately we do not have a wiring diagram of the drain pump. There is not a check valve on the gravity feed.
