Trying to get a drain pump for a Kitchenaide Ice Maker. Is this a drain pump that will drain the water from the unit? I do not want a circulating pump. Kitchenaide's part # is PS331918 that I need for our home ice maker. Thanks, Rob J.

I just bought this unit and it is missing something in back I think it is a cond pump. Do I still need an open drain or is it closed with just the drain hose and vent tube.and where would I connect the electric wire to that is on the new cond pump.

After working for 4 weeks the ice bin became filled with water and ice and the drain pump failed to turn on. The technician indicated that the ice maker needs to be piped to an open drain (similar to a washing machine). Currently it is piped like a dishwasher. The drain pipe is vented through a service vent (island installation). Is this the correct recommendation. I am concerned with an open drain under the sink.

I need to ad a pump to convert my Kitchenaid kuic15nrts1 ice machine from gravity drain to pump. Is 1901A the correct and best part to do this? Also, is it a closed system such that if drainage is blocked or pump breaks, the machine will stop making more ice?

Follow-up question. In the 1901a kit, there's a 10 foot drain hose included with two black ends on it (pictured on your website.) How do you connect the black end to the drain tube? It seems to fit but you have to manipulate it around the bend on the drain tube on the pump. On the drain side, what's the correct fitting to marry with this? Apologies, I should have asked my question more clearly.

Can't figure out last step of this process. Drain discharge tube has right angle connection and is smaller than 10 foot drain tube provided in 1901a kit. How do these connect together? Everything worked great up to this point.
