The dishwasher works fine with the exception of draining. There is no sound at all when it hits the drain cycle now. However it fills and washes normally. It was making a sound as if the drain motor could have been going out before it quit. Is the drain pump separate from the wash motor? Also is the motor bad, the timer or something else? Thank you!
Answer Hello Phillip,
This can be the fault of the timer or the pump motor windings. You need to pull the tech sheet and test the motor windings. If they test good, you should check for voltage to the motor during the drain cycle. If there is no voltage, the harness or the timer has failed. The motor circulates the water when it spins in one direction and drains when it spins the other.
The water pump is not working, but the motor is fine. I only need the water pump. Why can't I just buy the pump without the motor? You sell the motor without the pump, why don't you sell the pump without the motor?
Answer Hello Sean,
We would sell the water pump if the manufacturer of the part made it available. As a parts distributor, we do not manufacture any parts. I wish we did so we could correct a lot of issues, but unfortunately in this case, all I can do is advise you to contact the manufacturer and voice your complaint.
My machine runs and washes but does not drain. Is there a separate pump that drains it or do I need to replace the whole pump/motor assembly? Thanks, Joe
Answer Hi Joe. You will need to test and see if the timer is sending power to the pump assembly when the dishwasher is in drain cycle. If so, and the pump is not pumping out, you will need to replace the pump/motor assembly. If there is no power there, you will need to replace the timer 8535372. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DM1. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Want to seperate motor from pump housing. Motor is very good. Need to replace the seal. Thanks Tom.
Answer Hi Tom. Here is a link to our parts diagram page. You will need to remove the motor, then numbers 9 and 10 to access this seal. Seal is part # 3385557. Motor assy. is part # W10247394. Washer runs and drains, water just doesn't reach the dishes. Could this be the motor and pump?
Answer Hello Drew. Check and make sure the water level inside the dishwasher is coming up close to the bottom of the heater. If so, and the spray arms don't work, you will need to replace the motor assembly W10247394. Hope this helps.
My dishwasher runs and cycles fine, but the dishes are not clean when it is done cycling. The dishes on the top rack look the worst. Is the pump weak and pumping enough water?
Answer Hello Jeremy. Check and see if the dishwasher is filling up top the bottom of the heater. If not, check and make sure the float is working properly. If so, and the water level is low, you will need to replace the water valve 3384890. Hope this helps.
