The dishwasher is 7 years old and runs fine, but does not drain at the end of a normal run and leaves about 1-2" of water in the bottom. If I hit the cancel/drain button after the cycle completes, the dishwasher drains without issue. I have pulled out and checked the food cutter and cleaned out the entire bottom of the interior of the dishwasher. I also replaced the control board based on a different thread I had read, but that did not fix the problem. Do I need a new drain pump?

This dishwasher does not drain water out at end of cycle. I have checked the drain line and it is clear. I took the drain line loose from where it connects to the plumbing drain and let it drain into a bucket. The pump comes on couple of times during wash cycle and at the end but the flow is very slow. I have not removed the drain pump to check for any clogging around the impeller because I was not sure how it came out. Could it be that the impeller is worn down or clogged and the controls are timed base and the washer is cutting off at end of cycle because of this and leaving the water in the tub? If pump is draining correctly what should water flow be like coming out end of drain hose?

Our washer had a noise problem a while back and when someone came to fix it, they found that the motor had a bunch of seeds/nuts binding it up. Since then, it has made noises again but I have taken it apart myself and cleaned it out, only to find it clean. I'm thinking I might need a new motor? 9 W10231538 Motor Assembly

My dishwasher was not draining properly, as there was water sitting at the bottom at the end of the cycle. I cleared out all of the debris from inside the dishwasher, and it still happened. I noticed that there was a lot of dirt inside the drain hose, so I cleaned that out too, and same thing... I got a repair man out, and he said that the drain loop and drain pump needed to be replaced, and that it would cost $106 just for the parts alone. I don't have a lot of money right now, as I am a girl taking care of a house by myself, so I need help and am trying to do this by myself. From reading other people's questions, it looks like it is probably my drain pump that needs to be replaced, but is the drain loop necessary to replace as well, or can I just replace the pump? Please advise. Thanks! :-)

When the unit drains, I hear a grinding noise coming from the unit. It appears that the unit drains completely but the noise seams out of place. The noise occurs only when the unit is draining (I think). During the wash cycles, the unit is quite.

My Drain pump was not working and getting very hot. I pulled it apart. There was no debris in it. I flushed out the drain hose. It works now but I am concerned that the pump may be going out and want to purchase a spare. The one pictured in your photo has 8 impeller blades. Mine only has 4. Will your Pump AP5691922 still work on my dishwasher? If so I will purchase as a spare. Thanks.

Standing water after it runs wash cycle. I pushed cancel and drain, motor hums and after a few minutes it kicks off and will not discharge water. Is it the drain pump that I need to replace?

The dishwasher worked fine (4+ yrs), then it started not draining before finishing. I suspect it didn't drain properly during reg. cycle as dishes had a film on them when cycle was complete. I (by coincidence) pushed on the drain assembly after setting the cancel/drain setting and the dishwasher would drain. Should I replace the drain assembly or can something else be done to correct the problem? Thank you.
