Will not drain?
You will want to test to make sure that the drain pump is getting power to it during the drain portion of the cycle. If there is power to it then check to make sure that there are no clogs in the pump or hoses. If this checks ok then the pump is bad and would need to be replaced.
Hi - Does anyone know where I can find instructions for how to open up the chasis? (Whirlpool Model WTW4800XQ). This would be to replace the water pump. Would be great if there were directions, starting with opening up the chasis. Thanks!
To remove the drain pump it is not necessary to open the chassis. Disconnect the water supply and unplug the unit from the wall. Use cardboard or padding to lay washer on the front cabinet. Remove the harness from the pump motor. Remove the hose clamp and hose from pump. Remove the 3 mounting screws and remove the pump assembly.
Water leaks under rightside when washer pumps cycle is on. Checked hose and replaced clamps. Bottom insulation pad is dry. Please advise.
You will want to access the pump when the unit goes to drain and look to see if the leak is coming from the drain. This sounds like the drain pump or the hoses may be leaking.
