Answer Hello Fernando. Based on the information you provided, it sounds like the cold control 2198202 is bad and will need to be replaced on the unit.
Stopped making ice. There is ice in the icemaker, but will not drop down. How can I remove the ice from the tray without breaking it?
Answer Hello Michael,
As a technician, I would remove the ice maker from the unit and let it thaw out. This is about all of the information I can give you since I have no reference as to the configuration. If you could please re-post with a model number, we can provide you with step by step procedures to test and repair your unit.
The Refrigerator works but the freezer is not freezing. Is there something you can recommend for me to do to try fix it. Thank You, Elaine
Answer Hello Elaine. Check and make sure the condenser fan motor is running and the coils are clean on the unit. Also, make sure there is a full frost pattern on the evaporator coils.
My freezer is working fine no ice build up. I also cleaned the coils but the refrig is not working and I feel no air flow. Can you show me where to check on a digram with explaination on what I'm looking for on this model to make sure it is not clogged.
Answer Hello Vicki. Open the freezer door an se if the evaporator fan motor is running in the unit. If not, and there is power coimng to it, replace the fan motor. If there is no power, then either the control or the defrost timer is bad and will need to be replaced in the unit. The model number you provided is not working. We will need your model number to help you more with this. Please post your model number with a new question on the parts page if you need more help. http://www.appliancepartspros.com/modelnumber_locator.aspx
How do I gain access to a bad damper vent stuck open- stuff in refrigator even on lowest setting freezes.
Answer Hello Pie. You need to remove the screws and access the thermostat W10584888 in the controls. This is the issue on this model, not the damper.

I have a Whirlpool refrigerator and the freezer is not working. The cooling system has only one line with ice on it. The others do not. Please help!
Answer Hello July,
If you only have frost on one line of the evaporator, you either have a restriction in the sealed system, a freon loss, or an inefficient compressor. All three of these cases require a technician that is certified to handle freon so it will be a major expense. I don't recommend repair.
