What tool do I need to remove this ring? Is there a size of the tool that I should ask for?
Answer Hello Chris. You will need to get retaining ring pliers to remove this clip. You will need a pair with small tips. Hope this helps.

My washer wobbles during the spin cycle. the belt seems like it could be loose. Could this cause this. All the springs and everything else looks ok.
While the belt being loose could cause the unit to make a rattling type noise but the springs, an off balance load or unlevel unit would cause the washer to be wobbly.
washer vibrates in spin cycle severly. found self leveling bracket and a pully on floor. how do I fix it ? thanks Billy
Answer Billy, Sorry but, we need a bit more information to assist you properly. Could you get us a complete model number, from the serial tag on the washer. There are a couple of different versions of your washer and 5800aww isn't enough for us to research your issue. With a damaged or missing self levelling assembly, that would explain most of the vibration. If a pulley was missing, the washer wouldn't operate, so we'll need to determine what or where the pulley came from. Thanks
What happens when there is something wrong with retaining ring, how can you tell is bad on maytag?
Answer Deisy, If there is an issue with a retaining ring, on any product, the ring will usually dislodge from the groove and fall off or out the shaft of the component being held in place. A badly worn ring in most cases can still be used, but it's best to replace it. Good Luck and Thanks
