How do you remove the burners? Do I pull on them?
Answer Hello Charlie. The sealed burners twist off the range. They can be tight. Hope this helps.

I need to replace a range burner due to non functioning igniter. The manual says that the burner is not a consumer replaceable item. The web info is to twist the burner 1/4 turn counter clockwise. Mine will not budge. Do I need to put a large channel lock on this, or is there something I am missing.
Thanks for your help,
Answer Doug, You are correct, the sealed burner can be replaced by the consumer. There was a wrench designed expressly for the install and removal of the burner but has been discontinued, because it was seldom needed. Your idea of using a large pair of channel lock pliers is a good idea and should work, just be careful you don't want to chip or damage the cooktop.
(1) What is the maximum height of the flames of these 4 burners ? I found my flames are pretty low, what could be the problem ?I was told that I can clean the holes of these burners to get higher flame, is that possible ?
(2) All 4 burners are the same, can I replace one or two of them with bigger burners or burners with higher flames ?
(3) Where are the controllers for adjusting the flame heights ?
The flame height should be approximately 3/4" of an inch. You can clean the burner ports but want to make sure that you do not damage the burners. You are not able to replace the burner with a larger burner as the unit is not rated for bigger burners. The air shutters are what allows the flame to be adjusted based on air flow. There is no other type of adjustment. It is possible that the gas regulator is faulty and may need to be replaced.
