We are getting error code E2 F3 The washer would start and after about 10 min. stop and flash the code. We bought part # W1046728. Once we installed it the washer immediately shows the same error code upon pressing the power on button. What is our next step?
You will want to check the connections to the water heater and CCU (TH2 and HE2 Cavities) connectors to make sure that they are not broken or with wires detached and the the connector internal pins are visible. Check the continuity from the water heater sensor (black wires) to CCU (TH2) connector. If the continuity diagnosis failed the main harness must be replaced. Test the resistance of the thermistor and heater to make sure that they are good replace as needed.
Hi, where is the water temperature sensor in this unit, Maytag MHWE200XW00.
Thank You !
Answer Maury, the W10467289 Water Temperature Senor is located on the back of the tub. You will need to move the washer out and remove the rear access panel. The sensor is located in the right bottom corner area (5 o'clock) position. It should be a "friction" fit and somewhat easy to remove and replace.
Where is the water sensor in my model located? Thanks so much.
Answer Hello Terry,
It is item 23 on the TOP AND CABINET PARTS screen. The manufacturer calls it the pressure switch W10163980 on this diagram. When you remove the main top it is on the top right of the machine.
Hello, my whirlpool duet washer shows fault code F3 E2. according to the tech sheet, either the temperature sensor, wiring harness to sensor, or the heating element is at fault. I tested the sensor and the reading is 10.57kohms. I did not see a heater on this model. After clearing the code, the washer will wash, pump and water out.
as soon as the tub starts to spin, the code reappears.
what could be the fault?
Thank in advance
Based on tech sheet not all models have heater in which case the thermistor will send a message to the control board to turn hot or cold water on based on the resistance. With the thermistor testing at 10.57K ohms then it checks ok. You will want to check the connector that plugs into the thermistor for corrosion and if necessary clean with electrical contact cleaner. Also do a continuity test of the wire harness between the main board and the thermistor to make sure that the harness is good. If all checks ok then either the control board is most likely the issue, not reading the thermistor.
I have an error code of F05. Can you tell me what that means and how I fix it?
Answer Hello Shaun. If during the water heating step in the wash cycle, the
water temperature sensor (NTC) value is out of range, the
“F/05” error code will be displayed. Possible Causes / Procedure
1. Unplug washer or disconnect power.
2. Check the water temperature sensor. Check
connections to the water temperature sensor.
3. Check resistance of heating element, if present on this
model (abnormal = infinity).
