Dear Appliance Pro Staff, I figured out how to get the top of the agitator off and I was able to replace everything very easily after that. However, we are still experiencing a grinding noise when it is washing. Do you have any suggestions? Thank you. Martina

We ordered a cam-agitator for my Mom's Whirlpool the part number is WPL 285809. I am concerned that we have ordered the wrong part. Also, the old agitator cam is not coming out. If we ordered the wrong part, is there a different way to remove the old cam agitator. It looks as if it had clips that need prying. It's not just sliding out like in the video. Thank you for your help.

Hi. I have a Roper washer and I determined it needs an agitator repair kit. The problem is, I don't know if I need a long shaft kit or a short medium shaft kit. Thanks for your help

I have this Whirlpool washer. Top agitator stopped turning. I watched your video and concluded that I needed the Repair kit. I had one more question though. Should I see any grease on the part of the agitator underneath. My wife had mentioned spots starting to appear on clothes now and then. Any thoughts or suggestions? Thanks......

Was able to seperate the top and bottom agitator with much force, and add the short cam agitator, but when attempting to put them back together-- they wont click. The tabs on the lower agitator wont engage with the new part. Also, noted that the washer will split and go roght through the part if tightened securely. Pls advise.
