My igniter for the oven is sparking, my gas valve is humming and my oven will not light. The stove top lights fine. Do I need this igniter board or the control board?

SEARS says that this spark control module controls the stove top burners. The tech sheet that came with the stove shows 7 plugs on the board 4 Top Burners 1 GND 1 Bake 1 Broil. Does this module control the spark to the oven and broiler or just the top burners?

A few weeks ago we had a power surge in the house. Now the control box on the stove is working as well as the lights inside the oven, however, none of the ignitors on the stovetop or the oven is working. Ideas?

The broil and bake options on this whirlpool range does not work. When turned on, there is an initial spark (At least I hear and saw the spark igniter], but nothing happens. The four burners work just fine, you are able to turn them on without any hitch. I did open the back of the range and tested for current, it seemed to me that there is low voltage to the two very small purple wires, I am not sure what is going on. I have NOT tried to light it with a match.

Just noticed the broiler gas burner does not light. I hear the signal/clicking noise to the igniter but it does not light the gas. I can light the gas manually when I hear the clicking but if I don't do that the clicking stops and the gas shuts off. The electric broiler does stay on so it still broils when I need to. Bad igniter?

Hello, So here's my problem. The burners on stovetop all work perfect. The broiler works just fine. However, the oven ignitor does not spark. I smell gas and can light the burner with a match or lighter. I saw how the broiler igniter sparked and noticed that the oven ignitor did nothing. I replaced the ignitor but that did not solve the problem. Sounds like the spark module is the best bet? Thanks for your help!
